Of Coz SPF run 24/7 that does not mean they are a lot of man power hor. If everywhere shortage of manpower how? It's easy to say deploy more people to make up for the shortage lor. But where do they get the people from if there are already shortage of manpower everywhere in the 1st place?

This kind can work long hours and never complain  [thumbsup]  Just need to attach a speed camera to it.

Yeah lor. Was on AYE just now. Lane 1 already doing about 100 following the car in front, a X6 still wanted to tailgate me. Probably becos I undertook on lane 3 (as usual) before that while he cut to lane 1 but got stuck in lane 1 due to a truck and workers trimming the trees.  How can a X6 lose to an old wagon?  No face. So he eventually rev'ed and swang to lane 3 and then back to lane 1 a few cars ahead. 🙂

PS confirmed Lane 3 and 4 are the overtaking lanes now!

If ppl knows how to say how ineffective erp gantries are, scholars will know how to make it more effective you and me. By making erp high up in the sky. LoL...

So if the satellite erp can track you and me, what do you think of those who like to go racing on public roads? That is why minister say building speed humps will only affect day time road users. She already know what's coming.

It's just a matter of time before this thing kicks in. Of course drink driving still need to setup roadblocks.

Good luck everyone.

GPS can be jammed. then the onus is on LTA/SPF to prove that it was intentionally jammed. i think it will quite difficult to do.

The main cause of the accident should be the old shop houses.

BCA should encourage the demolition of all such conserved houses along Chinatown, Tg Pagar, Circular Rd, East Coast Rd, Balestier Rd, Arab Street etc...

From this incident. We know car can get trapped there.

No need LTA to consider speed deterrence there.... LTA should consider implementing EV cars quickly....less burning cars on the road.

Main problem will be solve when the buildings are gone. 🤔

I grew up in that estate and used to walk along the shophouses in the early morning with my mum to-fro chinatown for marketing.

Elderly folks who are still in the estate still do that.

It's with luck that it's CNY and most of the stalls in that market are closed, else they would have easily killed/injured some folks.

disagree with people call it an accident. where got unintention and without deliberate cause?

“This is a tragic accident and I’m very saddened for the families. I hope they will remain strong in their grief,” she told ST.

Accident:

1. an unfortunate incident that happens unexpectedly and unintentionally, typically resulting in damage or injury.

"he had an accident at the factory"

2. an event that happens by chance or that is without apparent or deliberate cause.

"the pregnancy was an accident"

The technical word is called collision. Not accident..

How is that difficult? They just have to track your mileage from the moment you switch on the IU to the point you off your car. Once you have unaccounted mileage they will just fine you according to mileage that is not recorded. See whether you still wanna jam or not. Ppl are not stupid you know.
