But AXA will get the Money back from the Driver-Car Owner's Estate..or His Mother...because the Accident was caused by Drink Driving & Speed Testing.

AXA will not waste money to get the money back unlike Ma Chi

Already tragic but it's not "if" but "when" where everyone were drink driving at an excessive speed.

All lost a son in an accident waiting to happen.

Seriously, dun think this deaths will mean anything cos there will still be more idiots alive drink driving than those who ended up dead.

And an "innocent" bystander who still needs skin graft treatment/ follow ups.

Death only comes to other people. Me, I, myself will always be careful and NOT speed. Even if speed, got skills and luck OK. No problem, trust me.

Sure, just go alone, anytime and every time. If need company, bring your best/any drinking kakis who bet that their lives are in your safe hands.

Haiz. Dead liao still need parents to go thru lawsuits. Never think to live longer to look after them. They will gladly exchange whatever monetary payouts for you to be around still.

Yada-ing.

Stay safe all.

It is not a straight win case. AXA legal will have to "fight against" the payout or min. the payout. Thousands $$$ are spent and if worst case, payout 1mil +, what is another few thousands to get best out of the worst, recovering part of the money from the "victim"? AXA has the right to do so.

The sad about this case, all kids are to be blamed but only 1 taking the full responsibility.

If I am the claim manager, I will not waste unnecessary resources to recover the amount.

AXA has resources to do it. Anyway, it is AXA problem. The main context or irony here, all drunk and drove but in the end pointing finger at only 1. I guess the families want to get the best out of the worst. Money might make them feel better.

Not necessary. Claims Department is a cost center.

Usually, cost Centre is shorthanded.

As claiming from estate of deceased will incur unrecoverable expenses, i (if I am claims manager) will close claims file.

Lawyer will also say don’t waste time.

The fatal accident and unfortunate twist of events should serve as a lesson and reminder to all our brothers and sisters here.

When you drink, pls don’t drive! The cheap thrill does not compensate for the stress and grievance that the surviving family members will have to go through.

Insurance companies also running businesses. Surely none of them would want to make any loss. They will definitely have more resources and means to recover the money from the deceased estate. Unless all of us drivers would like to bear such costs i.e. increase in our premiums.

If the deceased estate has enough money for them to recover.

Also when you are drunk you always somehow become or fell like a super hero and YOLO in that inebriated level to handle a super machine beyond its specs !
