Any thing that is not stock, is illegal, especially when u touch the engine system.

Car insurance company will pay? I bet all my fortunes that it's a No.

Actually, only what is overtly stated to be illegal is illegal. The rest is a grey area.

On the LTA website, nitrous is explicitly illegalised. Other injection systems are not.

https://onemotoring.lta.gov.sg/content/onemotoring/home/owning/modification.html

Some car forum members have thought them legal, no idea if they're right:

I think it's a grey area, but it's gonna be black and white (well, black anyway) very soon.

Why would there is such workshop would do such thing for a car? Even car owner insisted it to be done?

There are car workshops in Singapore that can increase your capacity, install aftermarket turbochargers in a factory N/A car, sell and install catless racing exhausts and put in nitrous systems.

All of which are highly illegal mods.

Water/meth injection wouldn't even raise eyebrows.

Won’t pay for the car, but 3rd party should still cover I think.
looks like insurance for under 30 will skyrocket if tied to a performance car. No 5k no talk?

That  would be 👍👍👍

The car insurer, has, has, HAS to pay for the building property damage. In full. Even if the guy had good fire insurance, I don't see why the property insurance guys need to be on the hook for this. If after they pay out, the car insurers want to sue the decedent's estate to recover some money, why not? But they should pay out first.

There has to be some semblance of justice remaining in this country.

Car insurer will wait for police report.

Insurer will find way to reject the claim.

If I have extra money to mod my car, I will get bigger brakes and better tyres.

I will mod it to go safer and slower, not the other way around.

I think the workshop provided the service upgrade should be suspended as well as workshop owner should be punished as well.

correct me if I'm wrong, but i don't think it's illegal for workshop to install unapproved mods, ie. the onus lies with the car owner to keep their car (mods) legal.

It is waste of money to mod bigger brake,

It does not reduce stopping distance.

I’d say you’re right. It’s not an offence to sell these kits “for competition use” or whatnot.

The workshop that allegedly performed repairs to his car, however, may need to be worried if the crash is partly or wholly attributed to their repair failing.

If I were them I’d be checking my liability insurance now.
