Anybody getting prostatitis?

Mine seems to come back pretty often, quite painful.

Did urine test but no infection so not sure what's wrong.

Just ask me take anti inflammatory and pain killer.

There are arguments that PSA alone is not a good indication of prostate health.

A man with low PSA doesn't mean no prostate issue.

Worse is if PSA is low, doctors just automatically assume no issue even if there are symptoms.

Hmmm... opposite can happen too. Recently I scored PSA high and was advised to check further, though no symptoms and no family history of such cancer.

Never checked this marker before so I don't have historical data for comparison.

Now waiting for the wheels of public health system to turn slowly.

Wondering if should bite the bullet and go get a private hospital check just in case. Any good ones?

Health screening which have prostate check usually is PSA blood test or the doctor will insert the finger to check the prostate. But don't know how high is the accuracy?

That's why it's usually not included in the standard stuff. Only urine check see got blood or not.

If don't test PSA then ignorance is bliss.

When comes to health, sometimes ignorance is bliss, but sometimes also might not be true. Cause some health issues, if detect early, can be cure one. If don't test and ignore, might become uncurable.

Urine got blood can be many others factor, not really must be PSA issue. So no wonder you said you need to have a number of tests to check where goes wrong. 😅
