I'm sure when things have settled down, they'll have the usual test drives for anyone who wants one.  Meanwhile, due to the backlog of orders, the test drives are currently for those who have placed orders with a $150 non-refundable admin fee.  You then wait for a call for a test drive, and if you confirm want to buy, then you pay the COE deposit.  Rather sensible way to manage a situation where demand is greater than supply because of an early batch of people who have done their research, and are pretty sure they want to buy.   The test drive is to confirm your decision.

Also, you may have ordered the Standard Range Plus, then test drive the Performance, go WOW!, and then decide to upgrade your order! 😉

why tho 

fuel tax is really significant to the country, hence they need to factor in the loss of $ taxed from fuel.

its like if u stopped buying things which they cant charge u gst for it, u still need to pay what you "owe"

IIRC , from 2023 , SR+ is 3.2k and P is 5k+ thereabout.

Had  a chance to test this car.

The interior and finishing was good.  the pick up is gay ( like a supercar)  the silence  also gay like a benz Sclass .Very stable, very easy to drive.  there is no on and off switch, U open the door, go out close the door, the car go to sleep mode like our computer. U enter u pull to drive, u can drive straight.

i drive using the normal mode ( forgot the exact name, ) its basically a 1 pedal car, dun even need to step the  brake. u let go the accelerator the car slow down , u let go all the way, it stop. ( very hard to explain this ) the car wont roll like a normal auto car would when u let go the accelerator.

the rim is 20 ' tyre is 30 or 35 profile?? anw super thin and bumpy , i dun like at all, ( no wonder some of the owner thinking of downsizing to 19')

the door handle is hidden or flush with the car body u need to flick it out , give me the feeling it might need replacement after a few year ( purely my own pov)

inside got no handle to open, u press a button to open the door. ( no wonder there are question mark about opening the car from inside if accident or fire and the switch fail ) i didnt ask or  find out more on this.

the rest of the stuff all control by touch screen. on off light. , ac ( even the direction of the ac blowing )
