Atonchia Supersonic February 5, 2021 Share February 5, 2021 8 hours ago, Beregond said: i read some of the comment in fb. some ppl obviously dun know how the course and safety harness work, and give alot of wrong comment. like some one ask: how can the boy fall if he is wearing safety harness. no matter what safety harness u wear, u still will fall down if u lose your balance and footing. the safety harness and other equipment is in place to prevent u from falling all the way and hitting the ground. basically all the safety equipment is working properly as of now from what the news mention. the news headline also very wrong. 'boy die after falling from height' it give ppl the wrong ideal. Yes, I thought the boy fell from height and hit the ground then died. The reporting lack simple details. Lousy reporting. At least we know its not due to negligent or safety issue. Just feel terribly sad for the parents and the boy. 3

Datsun366 Turbocharged February 6, 2021 Share February 6, 2021 (edited) This is Sparta???? Kolam the Ayer? The loss can never be.... Strongly suggest an adopted child to move on. The parents must move pass the paralysis and that the boy's memory can help them go on. The question post investigation is how many boys will join this tragedy, young and old. I would really not be in the shoes of high net worth parents whose sons were also on the platform. Oh Captain My Captain. Tianmo Hypersonic February 6, 2021 Share February 6, 2021 21 hours ago, Lala81 said: Ok to bring this somewhat back to topic. Supposing you are parents of say teenage children/adolescents, what would you not let your kids attempt? As in activities with some element of danger. NS not included as it's mostly out of our control beyond keng-ing or siaming. Diving in open water? *I just googled, open water PADI certification can start around 13-15 years old. I guess regular rock climbing is quite widely available nowadays with those indoor climbing walls inside malls even eg. Funan. When I was younger and the kids small, I would allow them to do some risky activities. But I realize that as I get older and the children grow bigger, I become more kiasi and always on the look out for their safety. Now I understand why my parents would always nag at me for doing stupid things when I was younger... Guess I am getting old, 无法再提当年勇....

Sorry but Of all the things that can be done to cope with the grief, adopting a child to replace a lost child must rank among the dumbest ideas... Seems that time is critical to get the person lowered to ground asap. As he lost consciousness while suspended.

No safety breach? Then how come he got suspended without anyone able to promptly bring him down safely? The parents are supposed to 不了了之since nobody was at fault or responsible? 😔
