Is that the reason why Gov included insurance for serious reaction and death due to vaccinations ?

i tried looking for new zealands insurance for covid vaccine adverse reaction. seems no gov provided insurance, only the private insurance cover treatment if adverse reaction.

so no insurance prize by the gov?

anyway most western countries people all want health insurance, and it is private. in sgp it is mix of pte and gov. so i think pte insurance in sgp may not cover adverse reaction to vaccination. someone from the insurance industry might be able to comment on that. i read AIA give special covid19 coverage. meaning that it is not covered under the general coverage that it sells. hope that is wrong. the coverage is very little. meaning if you die from covid, it is pandemic clause, if you die from vaccination, only the special coverage covers you. some companies say you need to buy a rider to get extra coverage for covid.

can anyone provide more info?

1 million people die of Covid is ok but 1 person die of the vaccine is not acceptable?

:D

Where is the logic in that?

if the vaccine can reduce the death by 50% or x% only its a very hard equation to balance. its part of the strategy to prevent the hospitals from being over burdened. the key is to bring down the numbers that need icu and hospital care. becos if a wave hits, there will be more deaths due to shortage of beds.

This is why I am curious - If no vaccine is going to be 100% safe, won't it be better to spread the risk by allowing a wider options into our National Vaccination Program ? After all the purpose of such insurance is not about vaccine's efficacy but rather the risk management aspect since all approved COVID-19 vaccine in SG are considered as emergency use only.

well they still use some form of measures.. like 1 type of antibody level. is it the only reliable measure? no. but they are betting on it. new variants mean this will also move.

anyway 2 is free the other 2 you have to pay. i think people dont hope to get insurance money.. not becos it is hard to get but people just dont want this kind of money

BioNTech to seek approval soon for vaccine for 5-11 year olds

FRANKFURT, Sept 10 (Reuters) - BioNTech is set to request approval across the globe for use of its COVID-19 vaccine in children as young as five over the next few weeks and preparations for a launch are well on track, two of the biotech firm's top executives told Der Spiegel.

"Already over the next few weeks we will file the results of our trial in five to 11 year-olds with regulators across the world and will request approval of the vaccine in this age group, also here in Europe," Chief Medical Officer Oezlem Tuereci told the weekly magazine.

She added final production steps were being adjusted to bottle a lower-dose pediatric version of its established Comirnaty vaccine, jointly developed with Pfizer. It is currently approved for adults and children over 12.

The raw trial data was now being prepared for a regulatory filing and "things are looking good, everything is going according to plan," Chief Executive Ugur Sahin told Der Spiegel. (Reporting by Ludwig Burger, editing by Emma Thomasso

Yah, what happened to Version 2?  I thought mRNA vaccine could be easily tweaked by just reprogramming the RNA sequence ?

nothing new ... no vaccine in the world can "prevent" tio covid

it's already said and proven many times ... nothing that the whole world dont know

the only thing that vaccine can do is reduce the risk of "bye bye"

Quote

All the cases were mild or moderate, providing support for the extra shots' ability to fend off severe disease, death and hospitalisations
