Discussion for MG HS & MG ZS and EV - 2020/2021

Few weeks ago, I test drive Seltos 1.4turbo and HS 1.5Turbo on the same day

Just share with you my personal review on these 2 cars.

 

Driving experience 

I find HS turbo lag quite bad, not as smooth as Seltos. Though Seltos is 1.4l turbo but I feel it's more powerful and the gear change is smoother 

 

Interior

Of course HS looks more premium but I just find things like steering wheel, pedal and touch screen looks like from TB. No offence

Seltos have more plastic interior

Exterior

I prefer seltos. Looks more orginal

Check out China 2.0T spec with 6 speed DCT wet gear. About SGD 30k to 40k.

Hi anyone bought the MG HS in Dec or Jan? What’s the price and package? They offer me 116k with 6 bid non guarantee coe. It’s 20k since the launch price :(

Just hold your purchase till the COE settle down...maybe somewhere in Mar.

You can ask for other packages like 2/3 yrs warranty with 4 bids NG etc. You cannot compare from launch date till now. During launch, they usually give a lower price to flood the market and recoup thereafter. Moreover, COE has moved quite a bit since then.

Any one bought recently can PM me price and package pls? Was quoted 125k excluding home charger before latest round of COE. 

For earlier buyers, any reviews on the car after some time?

Have been driving it for a year. 
No major issues. 
Minor issues - sound from steering column and air con.  Tended to at recent servicing. Still monitoring. 

Any specific questions?

Hi. Just to update on this thread. Now mg hs 1.5 turbo is at 149,888. They have a scheme which is u (the dealer will do it on your behalf) bid your preferred Coe, 6 bids non guaranteed. I was the only customer there, but nobody offered me a test drive, even when I said I want to know more about the electric car feel. Guess they think I won't be buying so don't waste time..😅

I was there too but the deal breaker was the car lacked safety features. 

Collision avoidance was not an option which to me is a no no.
