It's not and actually it's fun, we got together at the last ECP carpark, it was just nest to a sailing club I suppose. Then we cycle to Changi Village for coffee or prata then back to collect our cars. We got a car rack for 3 bikes in office and also 3 colleagues got SUVs, a mixtures or Roadie, Foldie and my MTB do it with laughter and jokes

Leisure ride definition differs from rider to rider. Some is 15km/h, some 20km/h, some 25km/h. So which is which? :D

A niche market here.. I believe Thailand, Japan and Indonesia is much bigger as the clubs are active.. my GT MK2 sold to Thailand, New Series sold to Malaysia. 2 lowered end de in Singapore.. Just show Singapore not ready or never ready for such bikes..

The price tag also put many away.. maybe like Brompton until some 3rd party can make such bike at a more affordable price

When I am in group, with 2 other man older than me😝, we got 15 - 20 kmh, If I do myself, mostly higher than 18 AVG thruout, also depends on where lah. You cannot go slow in Changi Coast Road or it will take a damn long time. Got thru MBS must slowly look see look see or look look see see😂

This lobang is the cheapest Brompton wanabe ever at S$669:

https://shopee.sg/(-Promotion-with-Ready-Stock-)-Litepro-Brompton-16-foldable-bike-i.476584784.8075732724?position=5

Do not know how the seller earning the money as AliExpress selling same thing cheapest at S$750 now. But it is a genuine offer as I went down today to check out the item. Did not buy yet as got some reservation with the ride quality despite my enthusiasm as 16" wheel really not very directional. I read that a basket in front will improve its directional characteristics, but I am not sure if really help unless is a very heavy one maybe. My Master-D definitely feel much better in this aspect though even that I also not happy with. In terms of quality seems ok despite some marked differences with other wannabe in the shop, especially the locking mechanism as it uses cute plastic parts that make the bike look younger. It also uses the same internal gear hub but offers only total of 3 speeds which I think should be enough in general.

Even Litepro selling it higher direct from its shop at USD663. Guess it is really a good deal for those who are not badge whore haha. Take note that the samples in the shop are abit wobbly as some screws not really tightened properly by the mechanic.  If you dabble a bit in bike should not be an issue lah.

I am just trying to share that last time, we almost got cheated. Lucky our office was just near to what the website fella say and we said we want to see the bike, cash and carry on the spot. End up the fella disappear. The guy ask for down payment but we did not. So if the deal is too good to be true, better be aware a bit.

@Heartlander , sorry bro, I hope this is not anything against your post yah. Just sharing

No worries, this is not genuine Brompton hope I have put it clearly enough. This is a Brompton wannabe made by Litepro ,which is quite reputable and made a lot of aftermarket parts for Brompton and many foldie bikes. It is similar to 3sixty, Pikes, Camp Gold, WeekEight, Crius Trifold, Paikesi, etc, etc. I am keen because it is made by Litepro and it is sold cheaper than even on China e-commerce platform like AliExpress, essentially the cheapest clone available here. And it is real as I just paid a visit to the shop, and could bring 1 home if I have paid up S$669.

Paid $669 to get the bike finally after a few days considering over. Got the 58T chainring also. The China lady boss was surprised that i knew she selling it even cheaper than taobao and aliexpress. She said she only imported 20 sets directly from Litepro to try out to see how, and charging just enough to cover the cost  of thd bike and shippment, effdctively not earning fr the lot. Saw a guy collected 2 of the bikes while there, ordered from Shopee. Really good deal at that price as Litepro got quality one. And can go on to mod if got interest as no worry about needing to keep it stock. Can even buy rear triangle frame with disc brake mount to install disc brakes haha.

I rode Birdy Rohloff for an afternoon.

In term of riding, I like it more than Brompton with Sturmey A.

Still in the process of parts changing. Bought a Litepro 56T crankset with hollow tech BB but could not remove the original square-taper BB so just paid $40 for a home-based bicycle mechanic to do it. Seems like all these wannabes have been over-tightened in factory according to the mechanic as mine was his 3rd ones these few weeks. Will be bringing it out around these 2 weeks for my weekly Coastal Road runs.

The 9 speed is the Mobot Royale variant right? Other variants there come with dragon motif looking very Chinese. It is 3-speed internal hub with 3 rear gears using deraileur at the back. Actually to me no need so many speed lah since our roads are mostly flat unless you riding up Mount Fable. Some more foldies are suppose to be easier to launch than conventional full-size bikes.

The bicycle mechanic by chance owned 5 Bromptons which I saw with my own eyes when I visited him, more than the atas guy who haolian why he need more than one haha. He shared that there is a Brompton owners group operating a Telegram account that has recently done a groupbuy for 6-speed 3sixty at about $750. Maybe those interested can dig around.
