I wished Giga has a longer roaming pack longer than 5 days, of course you can buy multiple quantity, but once its over 20days it doesn't make sense to purchase the roaming from them.

I find 5 days too short. 7 days is more reasonable.

Kinda annoying actually. That's why thinking of changing.

Though I guess not many people are even OK with 1gb lol.

Gonna test out Lion King data roaming tomorrow Down Under. App says 2GB, hopefully they auto add the remaining 3 GB.

Anyone knows if can add credit card for auto payment for the monthly charges? App doesn't have this function.

My starhub sim stopped working. However the new Simba has no service after I swapped. Anyone know how long is the gap in service? How to activate the simba sim (if there is such a thing)?

I think they say 12am to 2am no service due to the porting.

No leh. I use VPN. Oops.

But seriously I think the icc card got issues. My wife had the same problem. Data ran out super fast. Will try other cards or buy from the local airport for my next trip.

my girl next year sec 1. She's using my wife's phone for whatsapp nowadays lol.
but also want her to have her privacy as she gets older.

i think hard lah nowadays. But i will put significant restrictions. Night time no handphone use etc.

my girl has quite a bit of self control so i don't think it's a big problem. For years, I've also been talking about the cons of HP.

Use Google Family Link. But it's for Android only. :D

Supersonic

I just port-in to eight (from SIMBA), and terminate a zero1 $7 plan. Just trying to get cheaper along the way. 😁

They offer you to block

  1. International calls
  2. International SMS

And now, if you want to block International SMS, check with your telcos.

https://www.imda.gov.sg/resources/press-releases-factsheets-and-speeches/press-releases/2024/opt-to-block-incoming-international-calls

IMDA continues to partner the public in the fight against scams

6. Beyond the option to block incoming calls from international numbers, IMDA is continuing to work with Telcos to extend this option to block SMS from international numbers. By mid-2024, subscribers will have the option to block both calls and SMS from international numbers on their mobile phones.

7. These new measures are part of an ongoing multi-layered approach to strengthen protection against scams. IMDA has been working with the Telcos to systemically reduce scam calls and SMS coming through the communication networks.

Been with Giga for a few years.

If you have 4GB of roaming, only 1GB is activated upon arrival. If another GB is used on the 4th day, the duration will extend another 5 days.

It’s not 4GB for 5 days.

Understand we get 1Gb free international roaming from the $8 plan. Just wonder how much do Eight charge per 100mb when we exceed the free 1Gb. Thanks

based on their website, dont think they have pay per use. So likely it will just stop until you pay up for data pack?

But no info on their website about data packs.
