What's the catch with the zero dollar plan.

I'm still using eight $0 plan, mostly data for local navigation and phv app. But would be nice if an app is available for checking usage.

No complains so far. 😁

Yes.  On Saturday port over one line from zero1 to test it out. Monday morning officially ported over.

So far so good. $8 net inclusive of gst.

Zero 1 still need to pay 9% on top of $7. 😁

In a month or two might port over the rest of my lines.

I got one for my boy. No catch. Valid for 88 days only. Show the counter your ic. Choose a n new number. Immediate activation for the free sim card.

After 88 days can covert to one of their plan. Otherwise it would be terminate upon 88 days.

The Web login do allow checking of usage.

All under the usage handler.

It even listed the (calls) number I have made till date. Data and sms usage as well.

The above usage listing are for the $8 plan which I had ported over on last Saturday.

Immediate if you are taking a new number with them. Port in existing number required two working days.

@Jman888 I think we will have to wait until end of 88 days before we can purchase their $8 plan, reason being we will have to select existing service provider and Eight is not an option. I tried just now so somebody please correct/help me if I am wrong. That is if I want to keep the existing Eight no.

Use your free sim mobile number to log into the eight web account. Otp by sms.

After that go to "change of plan". You should be able to see the option $8 plan.

BTW, why would you want to upgrade now. Since it is free use it for 88 days then.

Mine ported over today (ie. 2 days after I sign up at the neighbourhood shop). So far no complains. But i don't use it for YT or gaming. Just email, internet, news & simple stuff

I went to read the fine prints. Simba 5GB roaming is 2 parts. The 2GB+3GB, the latter is only till 31/12/2024. Of course, let hope they keep it going.

@Kopites Thank you so much for your help. Will try that shortly. My free 88 days will be over soon and it's right smack when I am overseas so thought better to change plan and take up the new $8 one when I am still back home.

I prefer buy local sim when travelling now.

I remember on driving  holiday in aus. Both starhub and singtel roaming failed.

Middle of nowhere driving around looking for signal cos lost😳

Went to bkk earlier this year. Bought a local sim from icc. 1gb daily. Also activated my giga roaming, total 2 gb. My icc sim everyday ran out of the 1gb limit but my giga overall usage is less than 2gb for 5 days. Dunno why like that.
