Yeah hurray! I was about to come here and post this update. Im using this Simba $12 plan, just received their SMS. Not bad lah. Last sunday did went in with family to Aeon Bukit Indah shopping. Signal so far is decent. Only Mrs Sim no roam - She on M1 plan. Next trip and Hotspot my phone to link to hers.

As a comparison, in recent days, I check the signal strength of both SIMBA and eight (Starhub) occasionally at different spots.

SIMBA is doing pretty well mostly, and sometimes beat eight (Starhub) signal by a nose. 😁

I remember my current starhub sim only plan got 1 year contract....

I have been in Starhub sim only plans for many years and renew contract every year.

Having the backup data on SIMBA saved me from getting lost. Good thing I had 2 SIMCards on the phone. 😁

In sg even got lost also no need to get panic. 😂

It happened this morning at 1:12am around YCK, "eight" suddenly no internet access, my other driving app was complaining.

Switch data back to Simba. If this keeps going, going to have to drop "eight".

After leaving YCK area, later on, eight internet is back.

Yeah, I drive Gojek, midnight shift. The first time, it complained "no internet". That's when I found "eight" internet wasn't working, although the signal strength is 5 bars.

The second case happened this morning, again the app shows "no internet"

Both incidents were near YCK, Hougang area. I switched the data to Simba and continue on. After I moved away from that area, I switched back to "eight", then the internet worked.

In between I dunno how long eight internet was down, bcuz I had moved away.

I won't use the eight as main line until officially become paid line, even that I only use it for tablet or 2nd sim when travel.

Yeah, treat eight as testing phase with a backup line.

This morning no incident that I've encountered with internet access. 😀
