Circles 2Gb roaming update from Penang. PSA.

If your phone is set to 5G/LTE/3G..... You will not get any data roam.

But once you set to LTE/3G, the data roam will then work.

I suspect is somthing to do with the lack of 5G towers in Penang and yet the phone is not smart enough to switch to LTE automatically.

If 8 is 188GB of local data, 8GB of APAC roaming, 1GB of worldwide roaming, 88 minutes of free local talk time and SMS messages, and 288 IDD minutes

Per Month then its very good.

:D

Expand

Even if the 8gb roaming is for 3 months(88 days) it still come up to 2.5 plus gbs per month. Better than many telecom averaging 1 or 2 gbs per month only.

Wait for the official launch.

I have signed up the free promo. Waiting for them to get back to me.

8GB total regardless of the country or maybe they allocate fixed 1GB in xx,xx then 2GB in xx,xx.

Have to wait for more details.

If they can offer 8 gbs per month for any of the 5 countries listed (promotion poster) then that is one sure way to capture a significant slice of the market share.

How is StarHub and its MVNO’s 5G network? Is it good?

When they first started out, it was quite chui.

I have been on M1 from 1997 to 2023 last year before I finally got fed up and moved to SingTel GOMO.

I’m more comfortable with telco MVNO rather than new entrants (just like how I prefer genco rather than reseller for electricity).

Hope this 8 network Huat and can remain in business for long.

Starhub network in my opinion is quite close to Singtel. Avoid M1 if possible.

Anyone using CMLink ?

Going to China at the end of the month.

I am current user of CMlink. It is using Singtel network in Singapore and coverage is similar to other Singtel Mvno such as Zero1 and Vivifi. I have tried their 5G value add package for 3months and did not feel any big difference. Still facing intermittently loss connection in circle line during peak hours, even with full bar signal. So, now back to just 4G only package.
No issue with their free autoroam in Malaysia. I have not tried their free data-roam in China.

Billing cycle start from 1st day of the month.

Can't compare a relatively new telco with established player like Singtel, Starhub, M1 with already many base stations setup.
