ZYM has free 2gb in msia and 1gb in Thai/Indo.

Both zym($10.10) and zero($10.09) having the same plan. 100gb with monthly 2 gb to malaysia for 12 months. 😀

The issue is after 12 twelves the free roamining will be cease. Unless change of plan again.

A question for here. Can I use the mobile hotpot while roaming in Malaysia? Thinking of sharing the date with son/wifey phones. 😀

I am on zero using Singtel. Probably will try to use mobile hotspot in my next trip.

Yes. Wifey and son mainly used it for navigation and Google search while in Malaysia. Me use more for touch and go e wallet app. 2 GB should be sufficient for a day trip to share amongst 3 mobiles.  😁

Yes Simba is quite Ok, after I ported over after 20 years of M1. Singapore recep is slightly better than M1, most of the time 5G. Then in msia a bit slower than m1 data passport, but if just for google maps and WA is ok and 1GB is more than enough. $10 really worth it

Ok, juz switched to Simba $12 de plan. Those using Simba, I dunno if you did. Remember to go APN setting. Set the 1st 2 columns info - as TPG - Save. Signal is better.

But I think they still got "Rooms" for improvement. Certain area can see signal strength drops alot. Hit and misses, sigh. But again I,m using 4G signal on old Samsung A70. Any Simba users on 5G can comment... Tks.

Mine is $5 seniors plan. Using Poco F4. 5G battery saver must turned off, or it affect my gps. APN is auto select to TPG.

I mainly see 5G signal around Toa Payoh, which I was paying attention. Other areas may downgrade to 4G+

Must turn on VoLTE to get voice call.

So far, I'm quite pleased with the connectivity. At one time, I keep having problem around Jurong East, but seems to be solved for now.

Another phone using zero1, there's some peculiarity, Sometimes, no internet connection for a few seconds.

I used these 2 phones, since I drive ph at night. Most areas in the open, I'd cover, except underground.

Did Simba ask for proof of senior age during application? I'm planning to apply for parents but under my name.

Have to submit NRIC copy. So I guess that's how they check. I can't remember if I submit DOB though.

I guess you have to use your parent's name to apply. Just pay for them using your credit card, it'll auto deduct every month.

Just ported my Zero1 number to Simba $10 plan and here's my quick review:

Can immediately self-collect sim card on same day after application - good.

Port in number effective within 12 hrs after collect sim card - very fast.

Simba 5G speed according to speedtest app is actually only 10-30Mbps range which is on par or slower than 4G speed from previous Zero1 (Singtel network). For comparison, real 5G speed from Singtel is at least above 100Mbps.

Numbers aside, it's still ok to stream video, songs and normal browsing so no difference.

Patchy signal coverage - no signal inside my estate carpark so I can't start GPS navigation before driving off. Have to exit carpark then will work.

In conclusion, $10 for 100Gb data is cheapest rate around so mai hiam buay pai lah.

Might be better off with the Zero1 $10 50gb plan since the coverage is better.. Me still on Zero1 $7 6gb plan which is still sufficient for my use.  If come one day need more data would probably just upsize to the $10 50gb plan..

Yeah, I'm currently on Zero1 $7 plan and frankly I have no complaints about the signal coverage. I will be eligible for the Simba senior plan soon and what could be handy is the included 1GB international data roaming. While I do not travel a lot but that could come in handy when I pop over to JB for a day trip or go to other places for a week holiday.

I agree in comparison Zero1 is the better package. I'm someone who change SIM provider every few mths just for fun comparison as it's my second line so will see what comes up next.
