yes i think they charge a few hundred for that your bill will come up to 4 digit easily😁

they very smart, listen exactly what they tell u , sometime they say  stuff, like ok your mileage now is 50k ( for example ) we will do the standard 50k servicing for u , as a first time driver,  u ok go ahead.

then u see your bill 2k, atf brake pad, service ac flushing, bbababa 😂

Usually, the difference is not minor, esp conti cars. If small ticket items, change outside will be faster too.

Oh .. that’s why I mentioned must take picture of the box that is been replaced.. sometimes the outside workshop try to reduce the owner operating cost by providing a 3party OEM parts and that’s when things go south for warranty claims .

and you are right that the parts delta is high. But the AD warranty the parts and repair of one year so if you do your maths . If the AD warranty the battery for 2 years but charge say 100 dollars more , sometimes it’s worth going with AD .

not sure if they have change it down to one year now, but I was one of those that change at AD for their 2 years warranty on battery

Haha, almost as you said it, but it was long time back so I forgotton some details. But it was a bad experience. So far other ADs are ok in terms of asking before doing.

at least u realize the mistake and learn from it, C&C knife is -----------

last time i mention i know a lady driving a mitsubishi suv. 2 pcs 18' tyres kenna  1k+ including gst by ad , she dun even know its super expensive till many mths later she want replace another 2 pcs ( that 2 pcs same tyre replace outside cost less then 600).

its like going atas place eat seafood, better ask price first🤣

More like if you go to sizzler steakhouse they are good at steak.. go tire shop they good at tires .. 

just that many want convenience and feel that to them one tire looks the same as another and won’t know the difference so they just go to the AD

Ya in a way u very correct,  how many of sg driver in mcf or in any other forum talking about cars? i bet +-5 %?? most want their car to start can moves, thats it,  

if ad say u dun change your car might not move. 9/10 of them will say pls go ahead, after all its a 1 time spending , maybe 6mth once, as long as car move most important.

How much is your piece of mind worth? Is it worth that dollar difference from changing outside? If yes then go change outside. If no and every time you step on your brakes and hear a different sound you panic then  go change with your AD.

Add one more nightmare for you, if you change outside and then get into accident because brake not working, insurance may try to deny payment if they know you change mickey mouse brand at disney ws outside. So want to change outside also dont anyhow choose the cheapest option.

hi, im considering a 2 yr old Golf 1.4. if it already comes with lowering springs, does it affect the warranty?
will mods like exhaust and intakes void the warranty as well?
i have heard that for Golf 1.4, there’s less leeway.

same I prefer use AD. but nowadays they offer package like spa like that buy service package got 20% discount! end up the cost difference with outside WS very minimal ! thus I uses and prefer AD

Agreed I myself experienced AD auto replace parts for me during servicing without me asking! Because all parts replace are bill back to car manufacturers .

Yes. Warranty voided for these parts unless you can proof that the parts changed were better than the original. Like it was a Golf GTi lowering spring instead of the regular springs.
