Good news for me since i no need to rush to utilise the voucher, esp now the community cases is increasing, better dont visit places of attraction in coming weeks. 😅

The Ministry of National Development and the Singapore Tourism Board jointly confirmed on Friday (May 7) in response to queries from TODAY that some hotels had been activated to house persons under quarantine and SHNs, but did not state which or how many hotels are involved.

“For safety and security reasons, (activated) hotels may need to turn away guests staying for leisure purposes, such as staycations,” the authorities said.

“The number of facilities in use depends on demand, with facilities activated as and when needed,” they added.

“The Government will continue to monitor the evolving situation, and work closely with these organisations to adjust the capacity of such facilities accordingly.”

Just show NRIC to redeem SingapoRediscovers Vouchers at 34 CCs and RCs

SINGAPORE - Singaporeans can use their NRIC to redeem their SingapoRediscovers Vouchers (SRV) from Monday (Aug 30).

They can also use their National Service identification document or Singapore passport as proof of identity to redeem the vouchers, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said.

This comes after concerns over the redemption process surfaced last year. Some had felt that it would be difficult for the less tech-savvy and the elderly to redeem their vouchers.

Their approach ai mai ai mai give de.. so not surprising the take up rate is low.. my family de oso haben use..

Understand the need to check and balance; and to spread the usage to many companies. But then who will really go for a "Discover Chinatown town" and such..

Many people find it troublesome to login to redeem the vouchers la. So take up rate not high. Lol.
