In any game of football / American football, Rubyt it is good to have sub coming in to replace tired or injured players, be it hooker , scrambler or quarterback, every player will be rotated, i find it appalling not to be given a chance to shine, let alone play a match or even sub. I was a school Basketball & Volleyball player and I do understand the equation

Don't forget, Ole were a excellent sub when he were a player@UNited during SAF's era, sublime finishes and a nickname " Smiling Assassin ", I hope Ole play Ighalo this week. he will go wild...[bounce1]

ManU 0 - Liv 0 (EPL - Away)

The players know it's crunch time against our arch rivals but Pool had us on the defensive with their gegenpressing, accurate passes and possession and have been the better team in the 1st half. Our defense structure led by Maguire and Lindelof held up well though to keep it 0-0 at half-time.

A sub for the ineffective Martial for Cavani in the 60th minute did''nt do much in the 2nd half and Ole subbed Bruno for Greenwood at the 89th minute for more penetrative runs but to no avail and he should be happy for a point at the expense of Klopp.  The next 7 games are against mid / lower tier clubs and hopefully we can keep up the momentum. GGMU!

ManU 3 (Greenwood / Rashford / Bruno) - Liv 2 (Salah x 2) ::: (FA Cup - Home)

Both Cavani (with Rashy and Greenwood) and VDB started the game, with Bruno on the bench, A lapse from Shaw and Lindelof allowed Salah to drift in-between to lob the ball over Dean Henderson and score in the 18th minute. A excellent through pass from Rashy to Greenwood who volleyed the ball into goal in the 26th minute levelled the score at 1-1 in the 1st half, with VDB not being  effective at all.

A good start in the 3rd minute of the 2nd half when Rashy scored off a pass from Greenwood who slipped the ball past their goalie but Salah equaled the score 10 minutes later. The expected sub of VDB for Bruno and Fred for the injured Rashy in the 64th minute paid dividends, when Bruno scored off a free-kick in the 78th minute. One thing in this match is that Klopp has to bear in mind, is not to play a high-line against our fast-paced forwards, and VDB being showed-up that he is not up to the mark for a place in the staring eleven. We showed our "come from behind" qualities that should put us in good stead for the next 5th round against West Ham.

ManU 0 - Ars 0 (EPL - Away)

With the embarrassing loss to Sheffield Utd, it was high time to redeem and resolve the disappointment against Arsenal to salvage Ole's reputation and set-back. A substitute by Martial for the injured Mctominay in the 37th minute added some fillip to the game, with Pogba having to adopt a defensive role to pair with Fred as we created more of the chances towards the end of the 1st half.

A good start by Arsenal in the 2nd half, dominating play with two good chances. The ineffective Rashford was replaced by Greenwood in the 80th minute but the match ended in a goaless draw, leaving us three points behind leaders ManC in what was an entertaining match nonetheless.

Current season, points differences for top 8-10 are all very tight, lose a few matches or win a few matches, can make a big difference.

Man U must show consistency to challenge. Their big players need to stand up when it matters, if not they will only be fighting for top 3/4 positions again at most

The red devils won't go far with OGS, period.

This I agree, with the inconsistency of not being able to match the top 6 teams in performance and croak against bottom-side Fulham.

He should join Lampard as both were out of their league and being good players don't necessarily make good managers.

ManU 3 (Cavani / Bruno / Mctominay) - Eve 3 (EPL - Home)

It took a good 20 minutes to up the tempo and rhythm with Greenwood's good run and attempt and it paid dividends when  Cavani headed into goal in the 24th minute from Rashford's pin-point cross , followed by an exquisite goal by Bruno who took his time and placed his shot into the far left corner of the net just outside the six-yard box to make it 2-0 against Everton at the stroke of half-time. Pogba sustained in what looked like a hamstring injury and was replaced by Fred.

An error by De Gea gave hopes to Everton a chance to raise their hopes when he could not hold on to the ball for them to score in the opening minutes of the 2 half, and it was 2-2 three minutes later.  A free-kick by Luke Shaw found Mctominay to give us the lead but the match ended at 3-3 when Everton scored from the last kick of the game to share the points.

ManU 1(Bruno) - Wba 1(EPL - Away)

West Brom scored in the 1st minute through a header with Lindelof not being able to mark his man, with our defenders allowing them more attempts at goal by headers that  by getting the better of our defenders through heading the ball. Nothing creative till Bruno scored from a good pass from Luke Shaw in the 44th minute.

The 2nd half saw a foul on Maguire in the box over-ruled by VAR and the lethargic Martial was replaced by Greenwood in the 65th minute, followed by VDB for Fred but the game ended in a draw, with Big Sam's team denying us the two points. Onwards to the midweek game against Real Sociedad in Turin on Thursday, with Newcastle next weekend.

ManU 4 (Bruno x 2 / Rashford / Dan James) - RSO 0 (Europa League in Turin)

With a new contract, Greenwood was the front-man, flanked by Rashford and Dan James on the left with Alex Telles in place of Luke Shaw and Dean Henderson in goal. The talismanic Bruno who was in the central role, scored off a pass from Rashford in the 27th minute and it was 1-0 at half time with 2 good attempts thwarted by Real Sociedad's goalie.

A VAR check confirmed Bruno's goal (total of 33 goals since his joining) in the 57th minute but another one by Dan James was ruled off-side. An exquisite through ball from Fred found Rashford who made no mistake this time in the 65th minute, after he missed one in the first-half. Substitutes for Rashford by Martial, Bruno for Mata and Amad (making his debut) for Greenwood were made, as 5 subs are allowed for this league. The fourth goal by Dan James in the 89th minute puts us in good stead for the return match next week and the match against Newcastle on Monday morning at 3am should hopefully be a reflection of the good performance displayed, if this match is anything to go by.

ManU 0 - Che 0 (EPL - Away)

There were 2 good chances from Rashford's freekick in the 13th minute that was followed by an apparent handball that was disallowed by VAR, whilst Chelsea had a golden opportunity when Giroud missed a header infront of goal and slammed into the goalpost from the momentum, to keep it goaless at halftime.

Not much in the way of any deciding factors that would determine which team would win this match in the 2nd half, with the exception of both managers introducing Martial (replacing Greenwood in the 78th minute) and Timo Werner respectively that ended in a goaless draw in an evenly matched game which should allow Liverpool to gain some much needed points in climbing up the table.

After all the past weeks goals galore and much hype, truth be told, United team reply on goal poaches and being clinical inside the 6 yard box and past scorers show they gallantly whip the ball past stout defences by way of assist or direct passes, despite many chances it was a disappointing draw, considering tactics and technical of the special kind of player needed to open up stubborn defence, in the match with Chelsea, it show how United are struggling to split blues inside the box with Greenwood's speed and Fred and McTom breaking up play.

Credits to Blues CB who marshalled their defensive abilities to man mark Bruno out, that was why he didn't shines. I salute DDG for his another heroic display, if Giroud's header went in, United will be hard at coming back. Fair result to both team. Playing@Stamford bridge was never easy  . . . This Thomas is really something of a guy [blush]

Actually it's not Giroud's header that DDG saved but the shot from Ziyech which was the save of the match. Giroud missed his header completely so DDG had nothing to save in that instance but yes if he connected, it would be 1-0 to Chelsea as the goal was gapping.

If want to sound good, I would say this match pitted 2 strong defences against each other but the flip side is that it also pitted 2 teams with lack of creativity and perhaps too focus on shutting each other out. Chelsea were too paranoid about United's quick breaks whilst United with their 2 pivots in front of the CBs played too cautiously.

ManU 2 (Bruno-pen / Shaw) - ManC 0 (EPL - Away)

A dream start after 33 seconds when Martial was fouled and Bruno converted to make it 1-0 till the end of the 1st half. Hopefully the high-line employed by ManC can be exploited by our fast-paced trio of Rashford, Dan James and Martial with support from the hard-working Bruno, Fred and Mctominay.

Another dream start in the 2nd half when Luke Shaw by-passed their high-line to pass to Rashford who then returned the ball to him to score in the 49th minute. It would have been another goal when Martial was one-on-one but shot directly at their goalie. Subs for the injured Rashford by Greenwood, Matic for Martial to shore-up the defence, and Williams for Bruno were made till the final whistle to cap off a glorius win and return to 2nd in the table, at 54 points over Leicester at 53 and 11 points behind our noisy neighbours. GGMU!
