ManU 3 (Bruno / Cavani x 2) - Sou 2 (EPL - Away)

With 2 goals up in the 1st half, Southampton looked comfortable, till Bruno scored 14 minutes into the 2nd half, with Henderson replacing the injured De Gea and Cavani coming on for Greenwood.

The equalizer came form Cavani off a pass from Bruno in the 73rd minute and he made it 3-2 in the 92nd minute to give us full points. GGMU!

That's Ighalo who's not played for a while now but has some of Cavani's qualities in being a poacher like Lukaku, Ibra (who are also banging the goals for their respective clubs ) or Chicharito. Might be that his contract runs out early next year and cameo appearance now and then but still better than Martial imho.

ManU 3 (Pogba / Greenwood / Rashford) - Whu 1(EPL-Away)

With 2k fans in attendance under Tier 2 and Dean Henderson in place of the injured De Gea and Pogba with McTominay for Bruno and Fred, West Ham had us on the back-foot with their high-pressing. We were camped in our half, with two of their players onto anyone when we had possession. A lapse in defence off a corner gave Hammers the lead, scoring with a simple tap-in and a well-deserved lead, as they were all over us in the 1st half.

The start of the 2nd half saw Bruno and Rashford coming on for Cavani and VDB, and later with Mata for the ineffective Martial. A lovely pass from Bruno found Pogba who levelled the score in the 64th minute. The outstanding control of the ball with a deft turn by Greenwood  made it 2-1 and minutes later, Rashford scored to put the game to bed. The difference in midfield by Bruno when he came on and the excellent performance from Telles, Wan Bissaka and Henderson was a fitting way to make ManU the "'come-back kings'!

ManU 2 (Bruno-pen / Pogba) - Leipzig 3 (Champion's League Group stage - Away)

A poor start with Liepzig scoring 2 goals in the 2nd and 13th minute, both through Wan Bissaka's failure to cover his left-back position well and Dea Gea caught sleeping. A goal was disallowed for offside when they had the ball in the net for the third time, and that says much about our backline's disappointing performance, with Bruno not showing any effective presence in the game till halftime. The game between PSG and Basaksehir was postponed when the Istanbul players walked off the pitch apparently when an official uttered the 'N' word when sending off their Asst Coach.

It was VDBeek for Telles at the start of the 2nd half with Pogba and Williams for Matic and Shaw later but it was 3-0 when De Gea was again caught off-guard. A penalty taken by Bruno and  Pogba's goal was the consolation for a match filled with woeful defending and De Gea's mistakes to end our hopes for the next round.

ManU 0 - ManC 0 (EPL - Home)

Both teams were evenly matched in this classic, with us having better ball control and passes but with City having slightly more of the opportunities. Both De Bruyne and Bruno not as effective as one would expect of this derby in getting the ball to Sterling / Mahrez  and Rashford / Greenwood respectively, with 0-0 at halftime.

A little drama at the start of the 2nd half when Rashford was fouled in the box but was judged offside after VAR confirmation. Both teams needed some spark from their respective benches, with Martial coming on for Greenwood in the 73rd minute, with the defence of both teams being worthy performers in keeping this match a draw.

City playing a v tight game closing in the central attacker in/outside the 6 yards box, trying hard not to foul United attackers inside the box hence a robust game, not fluid nor any spectators@OT.

To be fair, both sides has had wasted chances, most shot were off target or way way above expectation. it was a fair result.

ManU 6 (Mctominay x 2 / Bruno x 2 / Lindelöf / Dan James) - Leeds 2 (EPL-Home)

Renewed rivalry from days gone by (6 years ago when we last met) which stemmed from Eric Cantona's transfer to MU in 1992. Within 3 minutes from kick-off, Mctominay scored twice, the first being a good pass from Bruno, followed by a third from Bruno with Lindelöf scoring the fourth goal in the 37th minute. Leeds had a consolation goal just before half-time and it was good enough to wrap up the match with that.

Subs in the 2nd half when Telles came on for Shaw, and it was 5-1 when Dan James scored in the 64th minute, with Bruno then converting the (must have) penalty when Martial was fouled in the 70th minute. Both Cavani and VDB came on for Rashford and Bruno for a well deserved rest against Everton for the next FA Cup match. And although Leeds pulled another one back in the 73rd minute, this was a nice enough Christmas present for us that capped an exceptional performance that now places us 3rd in the table standings.

Yeah, Let's keep the tempo pumping and the morale of every United players are shooting sky-high , be it winning or draw games, the inspiring win be Merry and Bright during Christmas and New Year, Iike the new team formation & changeable yet worried a bit on Fernades penalty kicks hip-hop kick, by now most Premier keepers know his style one bit, let's see he can be more innovative over this one. Hopefully Dan James can play often with Greenwood. Ole is United favourite manager by heart, loyalty & faith of SAF's era. He will do even better after the new year 2021 & beyond . . .[thumbsup]

ManU - 2 (Rashford / Bruno) - Lei 2 (EPL - Away)

Must have been the heady celebrations of the previous day for Rashford to miss the header into an open goal in the opening minutes but he made amends in the 35th minute when he scored off a pass from Bruno, which Leicester replied in the 35th minute which stemmed from a miss-kick by Bruno. Again, Martial seems to be ineffective and inconsistent as compared with the last match where he scored and provided an assist ; losing possession in good positions and not running into space to receive passes.

The 2nd half saw Leicester on the front-foot with Vardy not being fed from his mid-field players to stamp his reputation as their main striker. Subs were made for Pogba replacing Dan James, Lindelof (injury) with Tuanzebe and Cavani for the listless Martial, who then made a crucial pass to Bruno to score in the 79th minute. With five more minutes to go, Vardy got his well-deserved goal for a draw, culminating in an entertaining Boxing Day game and a fair result between two evenly-matched teams.

ManU 2 (Martial / Bruno-pen) - Avl1 (EPL - Home)

A minute's silence held for Tommy Doherty (ex-ManU Manager 1972-77) who passed away on NYE before the match commenced. With good running into space, crisp passing and with more of the attempts at goal compared to Aston Villa, paid off when Martial scored in the 40th minute off a pass from Wan Bissaka.

A goal by Traore levelled the score in the 2nd half but a penalty awarded to Pogba and converted by Bruno in the 61st minute, put us level on points with Liverpool with them at the top of the table, having a better goal difference. A good start for the new year with hope for silverware if we keep at it.

It is not that I don't trust Rashy or Martial up front, however I have faith in Cavani more whenever he played, he gave us Confidence, Hope and Power inside the Yard.

Rather i see the Uruguay international has tremendous backing from their Country leader back home, the kind of support any player deserve, I pray that Cavani is not another Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Hendrik Larson & even young Italian Macheda who started his career at United with a bang but faded away. Against all odd the pivotal point now rest on Ighalo last month ahead, what could have happened to him, he is not even given a bench for sub . . .[lipsrsealed]

Yes, pity that Ighalo hasn't been given game-time and with his poacher's instinct, I feel that he's a more clinical finisher, similar to Chicharito than Rashford or Martial.

Hey Devils fan or hard core die hard fans.

United are in this position for a long way to go, hopefully I hope the Red Devils do not peak too soon as the season is almost half way mark and its a long journey during this pandemic, it's even harder playing w/o the capacity of fans.

Always believe in Ole's philosophy as he were an Old Trafford faithful & a Super Sub, a delightful player and a " Smiling Assassin " used frequently by SAF in critical moment in a game of Fergie's time. and I'm pretty sure Frank Lampard trying the same for Chelsea [smash]

Hopefully Red Devils fans be patience and tolerance with Ole. for result to turn fruitful, one must have the belief and trust- Loyalty and confidence comes from players & fans deserve more than anything else, in order to achieve Glory glory, current players must step-up and deliver the goods week-in week-out, so long as draw is as gold, not losing is learning and winning mentality will surely get us the top 3 position . . .or even knock Pool off the f...king perch [nod]

I notice Ole has been rotating his squad more than the other challengers, and this is a good thing coming to the later half of the season as the players will be more fresh at the end of the season where it matters. At least in theory that's how it's supposed to work, barring injuries, lockdowns and other unforeseen circumstances.
