Scratch resistance seems the same but shatter resistance seems to be very good. Will survive almost all falls from normal height.

I don't really care about hairline scratches. My old iphone 7 plus used without protection for 5 years also no "visibile" scratches...

Seems good enough from the drop tests. IPhones always been well made. I still prefer a case on my phone though. Doesn't fall out of my shorts pocket so easily cos of the matt slightly rubbery type of surface.

My wife broke her iPhone X screen 1 week after purchase.

Her screen protector was cracked then

I used third party software to transfer the WhatsApp history. It’s paid software, slightly tricky to use though.

Oh so it does work. I explored for my wife when she swap over in 2018. But she decided against paying. Anyway she's not working by then so not a big deal.

Yes. No good solution. But this ceramic shield is as good as it gets for now. I like my cases to have a small bumper edge to reduce chances of cracking.

My current s9+ screen/glass is replacement. Cost me 200+ outside. Samsung would have been 450+.

Now with new iPhones, can't change outside anymore. If apple decides it's 500 dollars. Then it's 500...

The S9+ was surprisingly hardy, when i fell hard while running the phone was in my hand and it flew like more than 10 metres and landed hard on pavement, only minor scratches on the non screen protected surface, no scratches elsewhere, using the stock transparent rubbery plastic case that came with the phone hahaha

I Dropped it in at my parents place carpark. Think i put it on my car door handle. Too big. Slipped out when I opened the door.

My old Samsung s3 years ago also cracked in the same carpark.

Lol... Expensive lessons to be careful.

HAHA maybe it's time to change the car, to one with a deeper cubby hole on the door handle area

though changing a phone is probably cheaper 🤣

I need to have a case on my phone and also screen protector, cause never know when i will drop my phone. Luckily my phone has a screen protector, i have dropped my phone only 2 times recently and the screen protector has cracked, changed once and then cracked again and i dont even bother to go change the screen protector liao. Lol.

i cracked one screen protector before, really quite a bitch to remove the small shards. So yeah i go without a screen protector. Just have a case with a slightly raised lip to reduce the chance of outright shattering the front glass.

Whatever used,  safety first.  The tempered glass fragments are really tiny.
Best is after cracked,  don't use the mobile and remove the remnants immediately.
I think those casing with MIL-STD specs will be helpful.

The issue I have with tempered glass screen protector is that it is hard.
Mobile screen is gorilla glass which is also hard.

Hard vs hard is like see who will win with the possibility of both also lose.  😎

you are right, it's a dissipation of the kinetic force through the glass.

Well i've used screen protectors before, never liked the experience. Sometimes ok for few weeks, then start slightly shifting around. collecting dirt around the edges, And the better snug fitting cases usually have a problem with them. To me case >> screen protector.
