Let's consolidate all the clever car features that you guys have come across!

The upcoming GMC Hummer EV has something similar, and they call it "CrabWalk Mode".

Barring the actual application (since the car has not been launched officially), I do find the feature useful on a large-size truck and SUV as it make maneuvering in a tight space a much easier task.

I like the idea from the 2nd video. It's a spare and also a maneuvering wheel.

Its like a car enclosed with a giant foam mattress.

Driving a tall and skinny car is a hazard to begin with. Even a full size container truck can be toppled by strong wind.

Unlike motorcycle, the driver is not likely to survive a serious accident since he or she will not be able to jump out of the car but will get crushed within instead.

Good point. A tall vehicle is less stable and more likely to fall over.

The Tango is special because its uses weight at its base to be stable.

Watch the video 2:48 the Tango doing tight turns and NOT falling over.

Then watch the car doing the same turn and almost flipping over.

Other narrow vehicles need to use a tilting mechanism to be stable like a Carver.

One of the most obsolete things now is door mirrors.

When it rains its hard to see, when the windows are foggy its hard to see

and the worse thing is you need to turn you head to see and that means you are not looking at what's in front of you.

The wing mirrors also add to wind resistance and that increases fuel consumption.

Then answer is a side camra and a monitor.

The funny thing is engineers never use their brain. They put the monitors on the inside of each door.

That means you STILL need to turn your head.

They can put the screen anywhere. Just put the screen on top of the dash lah.

One on the left and one on the right and maybe GPS screen in the middle so you never need to turn you head to see if left lane or right lane is clear.

The beauty of cameras is also there is no blind spots.

All my mirrors have 2 mirrors - the small blind spot mirror added.
