Probably in early morning, don't want to disturb the ones sleeping.

Unless it's as loud as a door bell switch...😁

Yup it's for those with recessed switches tunneled into the wall so some of the older hdb can't use.

anyone using any quiet or soft-click switches for your water heater switch ?

mine is the standard HDB switch which clicks quite loudly whenever its being switched on and off.

"quiet" as in mechanical switches and not those wifi (powered) switches.

How loud can a switch be??

Afraid to wake up the house mouse?

put some oil on the contacts. 😁

basically the switch connects and disconnect via 2 metal strips.

I'd be more concern with the sparking than the noise it makes. 😀

Isn’t seeing some spark when you switch on socket is quite common? But seeing spark when switch on lightning switch is uncommon.

Eh? Does it matter. Not as if it’s a light switch where you switch on and off many times. Water heat just off and on for that period of use. More importantly to get a decent approved one.

come back home at 2 am after spending good time with girlfriend , scare to wake up wife mah.

Lower Back sore now.

Been procrastinating. The black cambray cloth underneath the sofa been peeling off into fragments and papery black dust.

Bought the stapler gun and cloth some months back. Finally did it today. Family affair.

Cant unscrew off my stools legs. So just trimmed off the cloth with penknife.

My wife pointed out same problem will recur. But that's what I have for now.

Maybe getting a black thin vinyl will be better. But that's a problem for another day.

I need to get new bedroom door handle/lockset..... Broken only after almost 5yrs of usage....🤦

Checked with the brand office, no longer carry this model... It's tubular type....

Not sure if other brand has similar dimension.

I install this on my bedroom door.

Only thing to watch out for is the backset dimension. This one can do 60mm or 70mm. I can't remember how to measure it. 😁

Yah...I saw this pop up when I search for tubular type of door handles.

Initially wanted to get the same brand, because all other internal doors all same handle....

This is a common lock, usually get this distance right will do, either 50mm, 60mm or 70mm. You can dismantle  the whole lock and bring it to a door lock hardware shop and compare it yourself. It wont take .ore than 2 or 3 screws to remove the whole lock.
