TBH, X50 and X70 are a pretty good car with creatures comfort that will put their Asian rivals in the same class to shame... But given Singaporean mindset, they will be a hard sell in Singapore. Designed in China and Made In Malaysia will shun most Singaporean away.

Simple reason - We have the most expensive vehicle ownership in the world.

If there are no COE quota premiums and various layers of taxes eg ARF to inflate the car ownership costs, I am sure these bolehland-made cars per above will be saleable in Kiasuland.

It is indeed a rebadge from Geely to Proton fyi...same goes for the X70.

Yes Geely CEO did say they will export the X70 and X50 to SG and other SE Asia countries by year end. I am not sure if its still on track given the current COVID nonsense. 

The exported models will be badged as Geely but will be built in Proton factory... Seems like Proton reputation is even worse than Geely outside bolehland :D

So very likely we will get the X70 and this as Geely next year. X70= Geely No Moon. X50= Geely Bin Moon

It's more volvo than Geely i guess. It's pretty quick too, 1.5T pushing 170hp. Something like the civic.

According to Geely, the 177PS version does 0-100 in 7.9 seconds, pretty brisk!
