Think at this time the past few seasons, they must have scored maybe double what they have done so far this season. Didn't realise MU quietly crept up the table till 3rd liao. Like what a friend said, sharpen the knife 30 yr, cannot be just one-off mah... 😄 i only watched a few chelsea matches. of course against pool they didn't play well. but i caught glimpse of how the new players tore through opponents in at least one match, and Thiago Silva also seemingly calmed the defence down considerably after he joined. I tot got potential to challenge leh... but a week ago i also thought Spurs maybe found the right formula - without Bale already topped the table... then things changed so quickly nowadays... Quite exciting this season.

If now lose Thiago Silva for the season, then will give you an idea liao. Worse, if lose zouma and christiansen too all at the same time, then it is horseh liao... pool enjoyed a good 2 seasons without obvious/crippling injuries, or at least they were manageable, when the likes of Keita, Ox, were out. They were not the best/indispensible in the team, and also there were capable alternatives anyway. This season, really is max'ed it out... if i'm the manager, i would consider getting origi to play CB instead... 😂
Spring Moderator December 24, 2020 Author Share December 24, 2020 League Cup S/F draw: Man U v Man C Spurs v Brentford JM will be itching to get his hands on this trophy to kick start his hope to win silverware at all the clubs he has managed. He always believes that once 1st trophy is in the bag, the bigger ones will follow suit shortly. Pep on the other hand wants City to emulate the Liverpool team of the 80s who won 4 consecutive League Cups and the Reds remain the club with the most League Cup wins. Ole wants to wins his first silverware at United whilst Brentford has upset 4 EPL clubs on the way to the S/F it seems👍👏

Whilst the League Cup has been derided by many top clubs including those outside the top 6, it is a major trophy n definitely ranks above Community Shield, UEFA Super Cup n possibly even World Club Cup as these are 1, at most 2 game titles. To be fair, City has always respected this tournament n fielded reasonably strong sides n hv been aptly rewarded. JM who is a trophy hunter has also respected this competition during his time at Chelsea n United n was also rewarded. He will do likewise at Spurs n with the “easier” draw vs Brentford, he will be relishing n rubbing his hands with glee at the thought of another trophy! Everton would hv also wanted this trophy badly as Ancelotti is also a trophy hunter but alas not to be for him n the Toffees.

Seems like Poch is the clear favourite though some reports also say Max Allegri in the running as well. Tuchel could be a target for some EPL clubs if vacancies become available. Not the teams fighting relegation but higher up like perhaps Newcastle or maybe even Arsenal? ↡ Advertisement
