suddenly the two manchester teams are catching up, and chelsea and spurs are looking like the real deals... Of the big 6, left arsenal now looking lost.

of the early surprise packages, leeds, aston villa, everton are all losing steam, with only Leicester keeping pace at the top.

looks exciting and close, this season.

I wont really expect AV leeds to be up there end of season, if they can manage top 1/2 of table quite good already ,

everton sq is thin. a few inj here and there, they start to drop points already  i doubt they will be close to top 4.

spurs is doing really well, but i curious if they still can pull off such good counter attack if either kane or son is inj.

man c and chelsea game all so late............

The good games are normally late as that is prime time in UK. The early kickoffs are meant to suit Asian audiences as we pay good $ so only occasionally do they slot in good games. A lot of the top sides don’t like to play the early kickoff games due to their mid week exertions. Klopp n Lampard has been vocal on this recently.

yes. i saw those report.

but they forgot the key point, the reason epl is so successful, the reason they got millions to spend every month is exactly why EPL  cater to asian timing, to allow us to pay and watch their match,

among all the eu elite leag,  EPL  started this move first, its a genuine masterpiece, look at seria A they follow too late, liga also , asia already become fans of EPL team, we watch their game buy their jercsy

spain also making change recent, now we can catch real and barc game at around 9pm.

if EPL follow kloop and lampard, soon it will come back to bite them. we pay millions to watch them play , not complain kick off timing not nice, player have too much game etc etc

No need early kick-off so extreme. It used to be most of the matches were played at 3 pm UK time, which is our 10 pm or 11 pm (winter time). This slot suits us fine. Is probably good for them there as the supporters will spend their who Sat afternoon/evening on this - their favourite pasttime?

Only after restart, then the broadcasters want to spread out all the matches instead of them playing at the same time. Only this way, will they be able to hope to squeeze more broadcasting fees from showing many matches live. We never had those 3.30 am or 4 am matches in the past. The worst was those 12.30 am (after the 10 pm slots) or 1.30 am (after the 11 pm slots), but now they've really overdone it.

Feel like slapping the broadcasters...

Before Covid, it was usually 1 Saturday lunch time early k/off n 1 late evening k/off. In between is the bulk of the games n maximum 3 games spread out on Sunday.

With Covid, the 10 games are all spread out from Friday night right up to Monday night. There are hardly any simultaneous k/off matches or at most there is a pair of simultaneous games. Hence, the odd k/off times which we in Asia suffer the most unfortunately.

close, but no lah, last time was always either 12.30 am or 1.30 am, cos the bulk of the matches would be played at 10 pm (summer time) or 11 pm (winter time).

the 10 pm match will end 11.45 pm, then can rest about 45 min, before the next/late match starts. Winter time will be later by 1 hr.

now i think the broadcasters wanted to charge on pay-per-view basis, so spread out every match till no overlap, in the hope that the soccer fans will use the $$ budgeted for matchday tickets, and spend them on watching more matches live on TV...

and they schedule the popular matches to be late late. Really angry...

Exactly, guess they're trying to earn more via pay-per-view.

If got die-hard fans like you, when there are many matches played at same time, you will choose the most popular one and only watch that match.

but now that they spread out, there is a chance that you might pay more to watch all the matches liao...

chelsea lose i sibei sian.

in the end every 1 on top drop points.😂

This makes for an exciting title challenge as no one team stands out after 12 games. The leaders having 25 points only at this stage means that if this trend continues, the title might be won with mid 80 points unlike previous seasons where high 90 points needed to be Champs.

Pool were lucky that the ref overruled VAR n not award a penalty to Fulham which would hv given them a 2 goal lead. I suppose it’s only fair as some VAR decisions went against Pool in recent games and that’s why as I always say, decisions for and against u would more or less even itself out over the course of the season. It’s k/o football like the Cup competitions and UCL k/o rounds that an unfair decision means u r out of the competition. Best team always wins the League👍

Chelsea missing all their wide players Hudson Odoi, Pulisic and esp Ziyech meant they had no creativity. But no excuse as Pool have an even worse injury list esp as all their CBS are injured after Matip went off last night.

Of the big teams, Arsenal are the biggest worry, losing at home to Burnley after Xhaka got red carded. He needs to leave the club I feel. Ironically, I feel Guuners could do with the creativity of Ozil now but I think bridge has already been burnt so hard to see him in a Gunners shirt again.

How come old trashford no spectators huh??

Manchester is in tier 3 ie a vulnerable part of UK where Covid is widespread so no supporters allowed in. Seems only 10 clubs (tier 2 - 2k spectators) are allowed spectators whilst another 10 are in tier 3.

Currently no EPL club is in tier 1 (4K spectators allowed)
