The big match City v Pool ends all square but City could hv gotten all 3 pts if De Bruyne didn’t miss a penalty so Leicester is top now! Very exciting to see the lead changing hands so frequently. Over the weekend, Saints, Spurs n Leicester took turns to lead n a good change to see the not so fancied teams lead👍

Everybodies likes to say that if KDB didn't missed the penalty. ManC could have won the match.  :we-all-gonna-die:

What if KDB slot in the penalty, Pool could have come back strongly and beat ManC to win the match... [sly]

i dun watch many pools game, but i feel Arnold is their weak link in def. he is good going forward. but leave alot of gap behind

robertson go forward alot also, but u dun see  robertson side expose so much .

vs man c that game sterling got at least 2 good chance on pools right side, but he not decisive to take a shot first time.

at least 2 good chance gone to waste

i have to agree with you. TAA is good going forward, making prob more assists than 90% of all midfielders or even attackers in the league - all as a defender.

But his defensive qualities leave much to be desired. From the time he first made his debut against Utd that dunno how many seasons ago now... he still hasn't improved significantly in his defensive play. Time and again it is he who let opponents get in/past him and eventually score/assist. It's not completely fair to him, as it's written - with some truth - that opponents like to attack from his side cos VVD is left CB, so opponents will fancy their chances to attack from Pool's right, but TAA has often been playing opponents onside, allowing them to cross easily, or simply getting beaten.

He needs to up his defensive play if he's hoping to be a really top top FB. If it's not for his attacking contribution, I'll not select him to play RB actually.

For last night's match, i think Pool started the better of the two teams, by quite a fair bit. Should have gone 2 or 3 up before the equaliser, but didn't. Once City got into the game, and Pool's press faded, it was very even. 2nd half, continued even, but towards the end after Pool's substitutions, i thought they were going to lose the match - and was glad they held on for a point.

ya pool start better, all over city for first 10 min or so.

after that city is slightly better. anw could easily go both way .

jota 2 good chance at least, dun know shoot where. give him chance to start he didnt take it.

i think city more or less settle on their centre back, this 2 is their best pairing . ake should be 3rd choise.

john stone is gg, after all the hype of the next big english ball playing defender... he would be sold if he is not english, and man c need to hit the numbers.

Just as I posted last evening about Arsenal having some momentum n they duly lost 0-3 at home to Villa.

The EPL allowing only 3 subs are having a toll on injuries esp for the teams playing in Europe as well n this perhaps is one of the reasons behind the topsy turvy form of the big 6 n letting teams like Saints, Villa n Everton to do well? That said Leicester are playing in UEL as well n doesn’t seem affected?

Must do a case study on how come AV can do so well against Pool, gunners. Can't remember another team who beat these 2 teams by 5 and 3 goals resp...

Ya man, Villa really the surprise team so far.

Just escaped relegation last season n now flying high. Seems that tying down Grealish, the loan of Barkley n the return of McGinn n also the form of Douglas Luiz has made a significant difference to their midfield n thus up their performance. Also the signing of Ollie Watkins has been a master stroke👍

Goes to show that the signing of right players that fit can make a world of difference to a team!

Some teams catch others by surprise. Leeds' style caught some teams out initially. When they got found out, then not so good liao...

Leicester is managed by Rogers. That's maybe his limit liao. He's looking to land another lucrative job after rebuilding his reputation.

Ole should follow the same career path 🤐

Yup, really give the 'smaller' teams hope - although Villa is also not really that small - they are one of less than 10 teams that i still remember ever won the title before in the past few decades...

In the same case study on them, must find out how to beat them also. Leeds beat them 3-0, and last week southampton were at one point 4-0 up if i remember correctly, before villa pulled 3 back...

ha ha... some years back, pool also wished to play Spurs every week, when beating them 5-0, 4-0, 3-0... then kanna one heavy defeat where lovren was subbed off in first half...

for villa, give them leeds and southampton every week then they know... 😆

If Aston Villa finish above Chelsea

Chelsea only have themselves to blame

by loaning them Ross Barkley.

He is a very good player.

The reason Aston Villa is doing so well is because

all the other sides have 1 creative midfielder like

City have KDB, Pool Thiago, Leicester Madison, Southampton JWP, Everton Rodriquez etc

and Aston Villa have 2 play makers.

Jack and Ross.

Arsenal are the retirement club for players looking for a last big pay off.

Ozil after his got his contract extension stop trying.

Now Auba after scoring like mad now got a new contract also slow down.
