5G larger spectrum allows more data to stream across different countries , like India. Since we are in favour of CECA agreement, lets go full-blown.

Now all records are digitised already. Can be sent anywhere. No need 5G.

But if u mean that can use 5G to take xray, CT scan, MRI, Ultrasound and mammogram and work from home, then that technology is very very very far away.

1) Patient must know how to use such imaging equipment.

2) Patient must know how to position him/her self within the equipment.

3) Such radioactive equipment, it is never meant for home use. It requires a radioactive source and huge amount of electricity to operate.

4) Hygiene, patient must be considerate and wipe down after use. Do not think much ppl will do that.

So WFH for imaging equipment, will be not possible in the near future.

radiologist is outsourced.

cannot outsource the one taking the image la. unless it can be replaced by robot in the future. but patient still has to go down to the location since it doesn't make sense for them to have the equipment at their own homes.

I believe for 1 -4 only need nurse get the patient ready.

Radiologist can operate the machine offsite.

With 5G, the maximum data-transfer speed is about 10 gigabits per second, so a two-hour high-definition movie could be downloaded in three seconds. “6G will allow that movie to be downloaded instantly,”

6G can be faster than fibre optics, it seems. Think truly autonomous vehicles may need to wait 10 years due to this latency issue.

With widespread use of 5G and autonomous vehicle, no need traffic light liao

No nurses are doing these jobs now. Only radiographer is the one doing it. If nurse require to do it, then they have to be qualified as a radiographer. Then why do away the radiographer?

Some jobs still cant be replace by 5G yet. But can definitely improve on the current technology. Like 5G cant carry a patient from wheelchair/bed to xray table yet. Maybe in future, robots takeover. But for my lifetime, I do not see it happening.

Let's hope the future telco data plans minimum to be at least 100 GB !

I suppose SG wasted a lose opportunity to use cheap Huawei 5G since 6G is the next best thing. Maybe got clearance sales.. lol

If you tell me NSA is not spying on everyone, I would say BS.

If you tell me HW don't have a back door and CCP can't force them to cooperate, i will have a similar opinion.

Should we level the playing field for HW? 😂

The different is NSA cannot spy on American in American soil without court order.

Even tik tok international version got back door.

My view is data is going to explode....

Whether the Telco will benefit is the big question mark but i know the data centers will be rolling in the big bucks.

For me, after singhealth was compromise, so what?

Was money lost by those patients whose data was leak?

Was all those patient data regenerated with new identity?

So what was the lost. ? Public confidence? or Kanna expose that there is an inherent dysfunctional IT community within MOHH IT group?

Of course with HW and 5G, the use case for making that quantum leap is enormous with Drone delivery for food and Amazon as well as self-autonomous driving and the home team can launch drone surveillance when a 999 call is made.

So if there is a security compromise, the impact is way beyond imagination.

Hurry import those gears and equipment into construction sector and I bet locals would like that kind of job.

Would it make money to buy old equipments then add intelligence and upgrades and sell for profit?
