Do you step on the gas past the apex? I do that sometimes to improve traction.

The right time to roll onto the throttle is as you're unwinding the steering. Not after the steering is completely straight. I mean, the latter is safe I guess, but slow.

Have to step on the gas for maintaining speed. Then towards the end of corner, accelerate.

Yes, I accelerate before the steering wheel is completely straight. I have friends who opined it is better to tap / release / tap on the throttle but I seldom see the need to do that given the speed limit here.

Never track before, happy to hear the perfect way to take on a bend at high speed (safely).

This is where RWD vehicle has an edge.

These Skidding, usually cause by Speeding & near Bald Tyres....

i also say...bald tyres and never maintain them.

I use that stretch daily, doing 80-90 with no problem

Factors or combined factors that might contribute to skidding :

1) Speeding - entering the bend at high speed more than what the car can handle.

2) Braking during the corner - too late. should have slowed down BEFORE the bend, NOT during the bend. Stay constant speed while cornering.

3) Bad tyre - worn out, old and harden. budget tyre not suitable for high speed traction.

4) Bad wheel aligment - need to check regularly.

5) Road bend is at the apex - going at high speed towards the horizon? Can easily lose traction once the car hits the peak point.

6) Wet weather - road is most slippery when it drizzles than a heavy rain. Cos a water mix with oil on the road is damn slippery.

TLDR :  Just slow down before the bend.

Reminded me of a saying I heard a long long time ago about the driving around bends -

Slow in, fast out

Fast in, never come out

unless you really old school and belongs to the generation of using ropes under the carriage to align the cars, u don't align the car like software patches every 60,000 km.

I am just wondering, my car got VSC, will that help ?

I say already, don't drive too fast at bend lor, if you are about to enter a bend at 120km/h, at least release the petal to 110km/h ma.  The deceleration at least help to stabilize the car abit.
