Write is easy, but sniffing out relevant research topics that have yet to be covered by others, in order to get published in the journals - for scientific and engineering fields, at least - is not straightforward.

I know of genuine PhD, not the fake one like this guy, who actually quit university post, because they just find it hard to meet the KPI of doing enough worthwhile research to get published and cited.

All those in massage spa also S-passers - you mean their basic salary must meet the MOM criteria? How does MOM check anyway? Got payslip and bank a/c monitoring?

My dongbei darling always insist they don't have basic salary - "off day = no work = no pay" [laugh]

Salary $4k but employee pays $3k for contribution for training bond. Haha

Sadly i feel myself going down this path of aloofness and bochup attitude. Last time when my alma mater writes to me for yearly donations, i always donate some small amount. Nowadays, i hardly donate, since the uni is unable to tell me how the funds will be used. For locals children or foreign students? Why should i further the interests of FT undergrads esp when i know they will be competing with true blues for jobs?

I think it makes sense if the difference is just a little bit.

But if it is too big, then quite a lot of money could also be lost to govt income taxes!

Questions on my mind
1.  How did the ‘Changi Business Park' became ‘Chenai Business Park'.

2.  Is it really true that these people were having some kind of skills that Singaporeans did not have or did not manage to acquire at NUS or NTU or other prestigious universities that they graduated from.

3.  How did it happen over the last 15 years, if the so called FTs were granted to work in Singapore, to teach those NUS and NTU graduates, managed to become either PR or citizens, and not only that, their entire family is also in Singapore!

4.  Over the past 20 years or there about, our MOE's educational system is considered one of the Best in the world. We have always been consistently rank at the top of the OECD's programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) ..... and yet, TODAY the people in charge are telling Singaporeans that we are NOT good enough, that we need these FTs to be sitting on top of us or in many cases, the locals, the true blue Singaporeans losing their jobs to someone ........

I suppose there is a reason why the education head was change.
