Craving for mini fruit tarts

Tried once about 2 years back (brought by a colleague) and quite good. Lucky still can remember the name. Let me know how you find th tarts.

Why waste money buying fruit tarts?

Go for a buffet and eat all the food

and get to eat all the nice fruity tarts for free.

Or pay for the fruits tarts and get all the other food for free.

I also like buffets. We can go together.

There is even one buffet with free flow of beer and fruit tarts as well as unlimited shashimi and seafood.

Sadly this fruit tart is quite average! 12 mini tarts for $15. Price is reasonable. Looks really presentable too! But there's just this artificial sugary taste for the fruits and custard. Even the crust is nothing to shout about. I've had nicer ones from Prima Deli. Will not recommend this. So I'm still on the hunt for more fruit tarts. May try out the Delifrance one soon.

I think its hard to get a really good mini fruit tart because local shops do not have the time (mass production) to use a good recipe to make a really good crust and to make a top notch custard filling.

Its like eating a Croissant from Delifrance and eating one from a bakery in France.

If you have a craving only the highest quality one will do 

Delifrance Croissant - the colour also not there.

 

One from a French bakery - can tell just from the colour and know it will be flaky and melt in your mouth.

Sad to hear that. The crust was good (nice buttery fragrance) the other time I had it. Maybe they have switched supplier for some reason? 

Can't remember how the custard tasted but agree that the transparent coating is little too sugary, however the fruit was very fresh when I had it.

Ok await for your review for tarts from other bakery.

Wah looks damn good la. Dense and moist, the way a red velvet cake should be. Really dislike the spongy and cakey ones.

I'm no food reviewer or makan guru though. Just on a hunt for my fruit tart hahaha. We'll see how long it last.

Can't find nice fruit tarts so I baked them with the help of my gf. Surprisingly quite good but too much work so it's back to square one again.

Baking confirmed need lots of work, but if it is your interest to bake then would not find it a hassle la. Lol.

Supposed to have another tray but we burnt that as we were having dinner and forgot to remove it from the oven after the timer went off. Lol.
