What is happening in xinjiang is simply a kind of "civil war". Secessionists on one side and those happy with status quo on the other. So that is why as the west keeps producing uyghurs who claim "concentration camps", China can also trot out "shiny, happy" uyghurs. Follow the law, stay out of trouble.

Same nature of conflict happen all over the world : in crimea, where some ukrainians are pro-russia and want to secede, and some want to stay in the ukraine. The chechens used to whack each other too, some pro-russia fight against separatists. Dagestan has rebels too, but you see mma star khabib meeting putin and flying russian flag.

It's internal conflict so west should stop their double standards.

the primary aim is to make sure US is the only hegemon in the world.

you can only do that if you trip up all the other people in the race with you. The US was very clear what they were doing when they exterminated the native american indians way back then. and made sure the european powers stayed out of the americas. 

whilst the europeans fought ww2, the US were happy to do business with both sides until it seemed the germans and japs were getting too strong. 

it is never about double standards. only fools will think morality can influence geopolitics. all this morality talk is for domestic consumption.

it is very obvious most americans hearing this will say it is americas moral obligation to "lead" the world because they are "exceptional".
