The risk is Apple is already pulling out some of its manufacturing in China which lessen the pain for the Chinese but Apple wants to continue to sell its iPhone to the Chinese (20% of its revenue).  The Chinese could threaten to pull the plug on national security grounds too and things could go downhill from there.  

I am sure many warmonging American neocons and their lapdogs are hoping for that to happen.

I'm no lover of the ccp. But this is really incredible hypocrisy. 

This is coming from the two governments who collect massive amounts of data on their own citizens as revealed by Edward Snowden. Reportedly to find terrorists. They would love to tap the entire world except that Apple the main handphone used by most Americans refuse to comply with many of their information requests. 

And Canada, USA, England are tapping all communication cables on both sides of the Atlantic....

And the silly thing is that you can choose not to use wechat, tiktok or huawei phones... 

moral of the story is outright ban like China on Google, Facebook, Twitter, amazon etc  halfway ban cannot 😎

The problem is CCP pull the plug but the Chinese consumer will still want Apple! Ended up black market because Chinese culture is 外国的月亮比较圆 😂

If I understand it correctly, China didn't ban all these apps lah but they require these platforms to follow some draconian Chinese security laws, which they refused.  Some like LinkedIn did for a few years.

Singapore also got similar laws but perhaps less draconian?  Trying posting some racial posts on FB anonymously and see if G can get your data.

CCP can just block access to Apple store, iCloud, etc.
