Singapore's fourth desalination plant in Marina East begins commercial operations

Singapore's fourth desalination plant in Marina East has begun commercial operations. The plant can produce about 30 million gallons, or about 45 Olympic-sized swimming pools of fresh drinking water every day. It's the first large-scale facility in Singapore that can treat both seawater and freshwater from Marina Reservoir.

See lah we have to spend so much money

just because people are so selfish

and want to bathe alone at home.

If only we had public baths we should save

millions of litres of precious water.

Why can't we just share?

Good news. This is money worth spending. Singapore has to continue to look for ways to be self sufficient in water supply, nobody owes us water , we cannot have the expectation that our neighbour  who supply water to us now will continue to supply water in future.

We should feel fortunate that we have them to be our neighbour, if they are too good, we will be in trouble.
