RickyWee 3rd Gear July 16, 2020 Share July 16, 2020 https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a33326179/nissan-logo-change-revealed/ Nissan Introduces a New Logo The 2021 Nissan Ariya EV is the first vehicle to get the new badge, which is adapted to look good in LED lights but is otherwise not drastically changed. Nissan has introduced its new, more digital-friendly logo on the 2022 Nissan Ariya EV. The automaker had shown the new image earlier this year, when patent applications were revealed on a new logo for the next Nissan Z. Nissan's announcement of the change to its logo follows similar decisions from Volkswagen and BMW. Volkswagen's got a new emblem and BMW has redesigned its badge, and now Nissan has done that as well. Nissan revealed the redesigned logo today along with the 2022 Ariya, an all-electric crossover. It is the first vehicle to feature the new badge, which will be rolled out to future models. New: Old: The new logo is still a circle intersected by the name Nissan in capital letters, but the name is more freestanding now, with less of a physical connection to the circle that it intersects. The circle is incomplete in the new logo, with a small gap where the Nissan name bisects it, while the old logo's outer ring was a solid circle. Another noticeable change is in the spacing of the lettering. Nissan says it began the redesign process in 2017, with the aim to make the new logo "thin, light, and flexible." Another requirement was to make it look good when illuminated on future EV models, which will have 20 LEDs lighting up the Nissan logo on the front of the car. Like other automakers who've changed their logos, it's flatter and simpler for better adaptation to digital use. The logo will start to appear across the brand’s various platforms gradually, Nissan said. ↡ Advertisement 2
kobayashiGT Internal Moderator July 16, 2020 Share July 16, 2020 They no need to launch new logo, what they need is a halo car. - A new GTR R36 -A new Nissan 400Z -A Nismo Leaf that can do 0-100 below 5 sec. I think those things are more useful than a logo. 2

I know what is family friendly though. ↡ Advertisement
