Thats too simplistic logic. Plastics in car manufacturing have specific heat requirement of the material to be used within the engine compartment. Not all plastics are made same

The mesh you get from outside may not.

But its your car, you do what you like with it😀

Thanks for your inputs! Will check with workshop for the best alternative.  And yes some body kits are way too low 😂 hence leaning towards a AWD kit. Btw i checked out the car from the image you shared, it has a modded air suspension which i doubt it’s LTA compliant. 😀 But interesting find!

How do you guys find the current entertainment unit built in the car? Will you guys be upgrading to a 3rd party unit?

too small for my liking (the bezels are too thick) but to change it, the new HU needs to be able to replicate all the functions this current unit has ie connection to BSM , RCTA and 360 cam

Not sure your version if the HU is similar as previous.
One thing I like about my HU is that with wired Android Auto,   Warez and Google Map ( IIRC )  workable in tunnel. 🤣

The FL version in Japan now is 1.8L engine.

I saw in the PDF,  the pure ICE uses M20A-FKS (2.0) whereas the Hybrid uses 2ZR=FXE (1.8).

Some differences I noticed from my 2023 version.

-  wireless Android Auto ( wired )
-  NiMH ( Lithium )
-  torsion beam rear suspension  ( double wishbone )
-  smaller fuel tank ( 43L )

Technically, SG version is 5th Gen.  The 2024 version for Malaysia and Thailand is 5th Gen.

Technically speaking Singapore selling the 5th gen from the beginning with better specifications and MIJ, I remember the MY and TH is selling 4th gen until the 2024 facelift with 5th gen with new front design and theirs is locally assembly in MY and TH.

Rear double wishbone for the win, torsion beam is the cheap way of doing thing and easier to maintain. Harder on the ride too, passengers and feel more road feedback which sucks. 

I hate any cars with rear torsion beam, definitely cut from shortlist immediately. Lucky all family car I had is either rear double wishbone or multi-link.

The important difference I see is still 1.8L vs 2.0L. 😆
I think the huge advantage would be that the 1.8L would be more fuel efficient.

IMHO.
For those large turning  (roundabout-like) filter road leading to expressways,  the compact SUV can achieve higher speed in relation to some vehicles with torsion beam.

2.0 is the newer Dynamic Force Engine, 1.8 is the old school engine same as what it was used in 1.8 variant of C-HR, Prius, Altis, Wish, Voxy and Noah. I rather have the newer 2.0 engine than the 1.8.

Before buying the new car in May 2024, tested 1.6 Niro Hybrid and 2.0 Corolla Cross Hybrid. Previously was driving PI 2.0NA Harrier. 

In the end go with NIRO that is nicer looking, sleeker, more high tech, more saving in the long run due to lower road tax, COE CAT and the transmission of DCT, rather than CVT.

@Fellows Hey there! I did the same too 😃 in fact I was leaning towards NIRO due to better tech and lower road tax. But after looking at my dad's Toyota wish which lasted 15 years, I went for Toyota instead. I don't have to worry so much when travelling in Msia as Corolla Cross presence over there quite high too.
