this thread title should be changed to jst Retrenchment / Unemployment

Or "Bank Sackings" cause it pretty much lacks others at this point 😏

Not that it makes me sad, more bankers gone is never a bad thing.

It's very common for cuts in the banking sector be it published or not in papers for anybody's' banking career.

One of the bank I used to work for looks at employee headcount every 6 months, that's how often people get the boot.

That's why we call the sector 'cut-throat'.
