The Yaris Cross certainly has a nice and refreshing design, and it's a Toyota, maker of the best hybrid cars.  Already see quite a number on the road, and the number is sure to increase.  Guess the main contender is only the upcoming new Honda Vezel.

I believe the Vezel will be more ex as it’s bigger than YC.

agree. Raize is too small for family.

Yeah you can't fit a family in that car.

Family of 5 is okay.
In fact I think the Raize interior is about as spacious as the Honda Fit/Jazz.
And accordingly to Toyota jp site figures, the Raize has superior legroom and headroom compared to the Yaris Cross (XP210 model) and about the same interior width.

Actually it’s not that I must change cars but I suspect the coe will come down from next year based on the peak and trough

Coe should be lowest in 2027-28 if gov doesn't mess with the supply.. personally I like the looks of Yaris Cross, and would consider it alongside Altis.. but current pricing isn't attractive enough yet..

I find yaris cross interior is small, even though the car is high. I prefer the corolla cross.

For me anything is ok but I hoping to get a suv or something cos as I get older a bit harder to get into car. Need it to be higher

But like I said previously it really depends on coe

I find Yaris cross more like a crossover than SUV. Lol. But this car looks high la. If you want similar pattern car, can consider the HRV too.
