Looks like Mcdonald side is getting super serious.. Don't know is it because that there might have more new cases to be uncovered that is linked to McDonald's or because of management want to be on safer side of the option. ↡ Advertisement
BabyBlade Internal Moderator April 18, 2020 Share April 18, 2020 Painful but necessary move by MOH and MCD. We all know how Singaporeans love MCD. It's MCD breakfast, MCD when you're not quite sure what to eat, MCD when you wanna eat shaker fries, MCD when you just wanna chill somewhere for supper but everyone's closed cos it's late. MCD when you have large group gathering at home and wanna order takeaway. MCD before/during morning meetings. Goodbye MCD. Till we meet again. 7 1

Actually it is also with advise from moh.. Maybe there are many people keep complain to authorities that Mcdonald everyday very crowded during circuit breaker period and authorities had been consistently been in touch with McDonald's to let them know.. Then McDonald's also had cluster case for covid-19.. So decide to temporarily stop takeaway service and only drive through and online order.. However that did not stop the overcrowding issue, like maybe there are still too many delivery riders waiting at McDonald's.. And thus after much discussion with authorities.. McDonald decide to suspend all outlets temporarily too until cb is over.. So effectively authorities never ask Mcdonald to shut down.. But more of like discussion on the issue and McDonald feel suspension till end of cb period will be the right thing to do.. There are also many videos and Facebook of many delivery personnel complaining on long waiting time at ding tai Fong to collect food, the wait can be up to 2 hours.. And some video showing a lot of grab delivery riders waiting outside ding tai Fong outlet with of coz keeping distance apart.. However if situation does not improve and if many people decide to feedback to authorities. I guess ding tai Fong might also face the same situation too to suspend till cb end.. Lucky they got no cluster case.. So maybe less of people feedback to authorities or what? I don't know maybe that's what is happening... Ct3833 Supersonic April 19, 2020 Share April 19, 2020 ..... On Saturday, TODAY reported that McDonald's closed its restaurant at Changi Airport Terminal 3 and a drive-through store at a Shell petrol kiosk along Tampines Ave 2 after two employees tested positive for COVID-19.. ........ Basically more and more of their staff are getting infected, including drive through outlet. It is only correct to close for 2 weeks. See you again McDonalds. 2

MacD surely is an essential service but due to their own staff kena covid and also they want to minimise walk-in customers contact, so they choose to close. Good move during this CB period.

Actually it is scary how their staff got infected? Through customers? Thought they have to wear a mask at all time and hygiene should be quite tip top also?
