Think these people behind the scenes are over worked.. Everyday need to write report on the number of new cases and linkage and etc is not easy.. When new cases are low, its quite straightforward.. However when more and more new cases and new cases get into 60, 70, 80, 100.. Things are not so straightforward to write the report.. Perhaps the delay in announcement is due to too overwhelming of information and need more time to write the report..

I find CNA reporting quality to be deteriorating lately.

Today is much clearer in their article.

https://www.todayonline.com/singapore/covid-19-proposed-law-prohibit-parties-or-gatherings-any-size-home-or-public-spaces-gan

What is not clear is how long this restriction will last?

The earlier report says that the bill will be valid for 6 months and could be extended to a year. Since the bill is now passed, does it mean this prohibition will last 6 months or 1 year?

Not trying to be pedantic or wanna find loopholes

i just googled on the difference between Bill vs Act vs Law.

seems like a Bill is only proposed legislation, not an actual law by itself.

so means what, the bill announced by GKY is not law so people can’t be charged or punished if they don’t observe the rule?

need legal savvy people to help explain here

Bill means mai dan  .. act means cho hee

40k idiots at IKEA.....stupid stupid....cant help but agree.  Idiots.

this circuit breaker is not going to be very effective.

so much so until a new law must be enacted

today i went jogging in my neighborhood park area with a mask keeping a mindful distance of more than a meter from any other moving object, guess what i saw?  One group of retirees sitting near each other chatting.  No masks. Later they all go back to their households

one bangla and his indo maid girlfren cosying up. No masks of course. Later the bangla goes back to his dorm and the maid goes back to the family.  Whats the possibility, you guess.

Bunch of teenagers playing basketball, close contact sport

families with children mingling with each other.

but nothing, really nothing beats the idiots at Ikea.

such behaviours and mindset tells me that this is going to be one long hard battle even for a small ready first world country like Singapore.

lets see if it improves tomorrow and the following days.
