actually call no use one, MOM has actually email most, if not all the businesses telling them if they are essential, but I guess is all mainly base on ROC registration when the business first registered.

Those who are classified as non essential, but think they are essential need to write in for approval. During such time they are to remain close until approve to operate. Even if you need to receive goods from an essential business, but your business is not, also need to write in for approval.

I think many small businesses wrote in, but still open shop today while waiting for approval, thats why the traffic this morning were about the same.

I am guessing some of these small businesses going to get into trouble soon...-_-[laugh][laugh]

If this official?

My company written in yesterday (management took their time to discuss until last minute then decide to write in) but still operating while waiting for approval.

Sigh, i only complain cannot go KL.

Seriously, even if the SG/MY border were to reopen in May and MY don't demand for negative covid swab test result for entry, would you go in the next few months?

Travel will be last to get back on its feet.

Many people no scare de, if travelling in most countries resume, people will fly off straight away.

No one in your company surfs the net ??

1. Can I continue to run my business as normal if my company is not providing an essential service?

If the service that your business provides is not on the essential services list (i.e. you are not an essential service or critical supply for an essential service), you must suspend all in-person activities and activities at your business location. You can continue to operate online if you and your employees are able to perform business functions from home and are strongly encouraged to do so.

Every biz also think they are essential. As far as I know, less those clear cut ones, the rest are still working as per normal.

This circuit breaker like a joke now. Govt better quickly prosecute a few big fish to show everyone it meant business. The start point should be close until you get the approval to open

The problem is cannot decide if we are essential services - Manufacturer (chemicals) but never state what type of chemicals (so many). So Management assume we are essential but apply for exemption as a safety net.

I think best you go check out the Covid.gobusiness.gov.sg website to check.

You sld also ask your management if they have received the email from MOM. In any case MOM reply quite fast one, I believe by end of today they may receive a reply.

I dont work in MOM tho...[laugh][laugh][laugh]

Some companies very big... Many depts... But since one dept is making medical supplies,  they will just continue operating - even the non medical depts.

On Monday, MOM would have already email the company. If you need to apply for approval, means MOM tell you NO right?

If the dept is not essential or if they can wfh, company should stop these employees going to office. Should only left those employees who are providing essential work.
