Chicken rice is franchise one. OK lah. Chuan kee for the duck rice.

Not far for you lah. The original stall is at Ghim moh only! But be prepared to queue lol esp on weekends.

Dong Ji.
This guy used to fry nice CKT but he was sick n then daughter took over n then he returned. He is inconsistent. Good days very nice but not so good days also aplenty. That said it’s better than the Michelin Bib Gourmand Lao Fu Zhi which till now I don’t understand how they got into the list.

Maybe that day sold out but it was only around 6pm on a weekday. Hv not gone back since then though.

Agreed on his standard  quite inconsistent. 

Lao fu zhi only eat once and I never return back. To me is below average.

Yes, oven grilled. 200°C for about 30 minutes. The photos below were taken from the previous round (didn't take any today).

I have do away with the butter on top, to make it less oily (but not as fragrance as well). Maybe will brush the skin with butter next round for a more balanced taste.

Day 7 of starter. 

This morning was another quiet day,  and  again I kept 100g and discard the rest at abt 10am.  This time I decided to change the ratio of the feed,  I did a 100/80, fed and left it.  The moment the feed went in,  bubbles appeared,  so I know it's still there.  

Nothing really happen except for some bubbles here and there.  Left home to visit my in laws in the evening,  and got back abt 10.30pm.  

Took a look,  and woooooo, something moved,  and the texture became thicker.  Did a float test,  not ready,  so again I discarded the rest,  kept 100g,  and gave it a 100/80 feed at 11pm.  

Let's see tomorrow... [laugh][laugh][laugh]
