Hi all, can check hor. I just got a Harrier 2.5 Hybrid from cars and coffee. I noob. First time buy cars. But when I take the car I found out that there is no navigation. It just say no maps installed. Is there anyway to install the maps?

Why not make sure that it has either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto

Can use either Google Map or Waze

Lucky have Android auto and Apple CarPlay but not wireless so abit troublesome. If got the map in the infotainment then no need to plug in phone since Bluetooth can alr play music

FYI app will be the most convenient. You just have to get a cable to connect. What troublesome? What you have to do is mute the navigation app and you can still play songs.

What is the navigation software running on the infotainment unit?

Long time ago I used malfreemaps(Google this name). I found a compatible map format to download. Mine last time was using a SD card as storage, yours I think have to use thumb-drive via the usb port. Once got map update I will have to download from the website and store it onto the SD card. Isnt this more troublesome?

With navi app now I just connect phone via cable, apple play which is more easier. I can tell you nobody use the built in navi anymore. The map will be more outdated than any navi app. Just use Google maps or Waze. Or do what phv drivers do. Use the app directly from your phone. You just need a suitable phone holder. Then you turn your car into a disco also nobody cares.

I personally prefer connect AA thru cable. Cos It can charge my hp while the batt is draining due to navigation app and my car doesn't come with wireless charging..

Both Android auto and Apple carplay can play music with either Google map or Waze in use.

Hey anyone know what’s the reserved tank amount for our harrier hybrid? After lights up with 80+ Km left, how many litres reserves ah? I noticed cannot pump till 55 litres unlike my previous Altis can pump till quite near manual spec.

By the way for the Navi, you won’t want to use Toyota built in Navi, lag like hell and not as useful in terms of finding places like google maps. Best is to plug in or buy USB wireless CarPlay dongle like Carlinkit, or usb dongle that converts it to android so you do not need to drain your phone of battery.

so far i feel even for Audi virtual cockpit Navi still okay to use but still laggy compared to CarPlay Navi but at least I can view it direct ply infront of me in the instrument cluster instead of turning head to head unit, but tbh sometimes it lag and I just switch to CarPlay. Anyway for these 2 years Apple will be integrating car manufacturers and directly insert CarPlay into vehicles instrument cluster as more and more virtual cockpit style available. For example China or upcoming soft facelift of Harrier XU80 having the full screen instrument cluster.

doesn’t look like FL, more of a model year and engine config update.

the infotainment is always dissimilar to original, i won’t get my hopes up for this

I went to test drive the Harrier today. I quite like the car, except for the old display. Was hoping for something digital. Can anyone tell me what is the fuel efficiency of this car? Salesman told me it can hit 18km per litre. How true is this? Can share your experience with this car?

there is a full digital instrument panel with 12inch infotainment display option in japan market. I asked borneo why never bring in they say it is to keep omv down.

18km/L likely mostly city drive where electric motor takes over.

Japan has both G (analog) & Z(digital). The difference in retail price is JPY500k.

Anyone facing frequent Android Auto disconnections in Harrier 2022? When Android Auto disconnects screen shows "audio off". Generally Android Auto restarts automatically but after this when audio is turned off using the power button it restarts on its own! Will be happy to have some help on resolving this problem.
