Indeed. I timed the start up. About 40secs from the time power is pressed to wireless CarPlay shown

Hi

Those driving the hybrid harrier, can i ask how is the handling & responsive factor?

TIA

I find it handles better than the Harrier Turbo. Due to the electric motor, the pickup is also good. But, that’s my personal opinion.

You can have the Blackvue or thinkware installed by Borneo motors accessories unit.

I normally do that due to potential issues with external installations.

It will cost more but it’s like buying insurance.

I am using Blackvue 750 with Cellink Neo. So far pretty good. My previous harrier and in fact my last two cars all have cameras installed by Borneo Motors accessories unit.

@Chkoh8 Hi bro, how much do you pay for the BlackVue 750 with Cellink Neo upgrade? I noted currently Borneo is providing the Carnected Dual 1080P dashcam for new cars, do you do a top up in exchange for the in-house Carnected cam or need to buy the BlackVue cam then get Borneo to install at a charge. Thanks for sharing.

They don’t trade in the camera given. I installed blackvue750s. It was on offer  at $470 at that time. Cellink Neo was from my old harrier(bought Aug last year from them) paid additional installation for it.

Hi, may I know which model of the Thinkware is the group buying? I noted currently Thinkware.sg is having some bundle promotion https://thinkware.com.sg/blogs/news/promotions.

@cheehbt you can try current Blackvue promo :- https://www.blackvue.com.sg/promotions.html

Done my installation with their authorized dealer Aestmod auto and my unit includes 750 2ch LTE, Cellink neo 8+, cellink extender and installation.  Overall very satisfied with the installation and Blackvue 750 LTE is worth the investment with peace of mind.  The installation includes hook up to fuse box for power supply but over the last 1000km, I don't have any issues with car battery nor car cam shut down.  Able to monitor cellink via an app using bluetooth connection and check any over heating.

Definitely more expensive than Thinkware but for the quality I am getting is perfectly fine with that; hope this helps.

@Bluecollar Thanks for your sharing. Glad that you have invested in the latest BlackVue 750-2Ch LTE dashcam and everything is working fine. 🙂 May I ask if yours is a new car and any concerns on our warranty if we get it installed outside of Borneo Motors.

Sorry for my ignorant, as this is my first time with Toyota. I just booked a new Harrier Hybrid and my SE told me that Borneo has a few approved dashcam models. If we want to upgrade from the default ones (carnected brand), we need to get it install by Borneo mechanics to keep our new car's 5 years warranty valid. Is this correct?

@cheehbt Yes, I'm having the new harrier.  Your SA will tell you any form tempering on the electrical of the car will void insurance, however with current situation where we have seen hit and run in carparks, BM offerings on their car cam is vastly inadequate and back dated.  One of the thing your SA probably didn't tell you only if fault found due to the electrical tempering then BM will void the warranty, otherwise BM cannot simply void them just because of a car cam they don't offer.  Guess it's due to several cars that caught fire and suspected of wiring issues on fuse box but no one can point towards faulty car cam wiring.  I was in the same dilemma as you but choose to go ahead with the change but ensure it's only the authorized dealer that install for me.

According to my SA, BM mechanics will not install any car cam that is not in their approved list; so I am unsure if they will install any other car cam for you to so called keep the 5 years warranty.

Hi @Bluecollar, thanks for your sharing and clarifications. I have a better picture now. 🙂
