Then those who doesn’t want to top up or forfeit how?

Allow the number of NG bids to run out and refund deposit.

Then if everyone top up how? If oversold. Hahaha

It all comes down to what is stated in sales agreement and the AD's sales strategy.

Depending on AD, they may not even allow people to top up even if they are willing to, and simply point to the sales agreement made on NG bidding.

Assuming the unlikely scenario where "everyone" top up (instead of coming to MCF to kpkb about lousy AD and sticking to their guns not to top up), Komoco may very well offer these willing buyers to buy the new model instead.

This move is rather common for the sales of outgoing models, and I have personally been offered such an arrangement with another brand/AD before.

I see. Interesting analysis.

I am very curious to see how the sale of the new Avante would be like given the low parf rebate and higher profit margin of dealer.

anyone booked the new Avante already?

Went to view the car this afternoon. Personally felt that the car looks nicer in person as compared to from the pictures.

Build quality is rather decent. But the price is a little high side.

In terms of features, the current Basic model is like the outgoing S, the current S model is like the outgoing Elite (less LED headlight) and the Elite model is another league of Elite with the full suite of safety features.

SE told me OMV is supposedly to be 19k for S trim and above 20k for Elite. Note sure if this is indeed the case.

But the 10k VES rebate is a "deal breaker", landing the car having a similar depreciation to the Japanese Thai made counterparts.

If the OMV is true, I am truly perplexed as to why they priced it so high. It felt like the 10k VES rebate wasn’t pass to buyers.
98K for 19k OMV with 10K VES rebate? Wow. Almost couldn’t believe it.

I think the basic model doesn’t have push start engine, or does it?

Yes, I "feedback" to my SE also. The price is just not right.

If the price is going to be 90k and above with VES rebate, likelihood the car wont move well in Singapore as it will make the depreciation higher than Japanese make made in Tom Yum land.

Its just crazy....the way they price a korean car

Doubt they will bring the price down. Unless really no sales

Yes, unlikely in the first few batches. They might lower the price down after a few months but might also mean some features might be taken away.

Was slightly disappointed that they did not make Smartsense standard for all trims though.

Thought that that could be a reason to pull people back to their showrooms, but nope, it didnt happen.

Yes, at least I was hoping the S trim to have the complete suit of those (inclusive of Adaptive Cruise Control).

Oh yea, I heard S trim has electric seats (driver) and dual zone auto climatic control aircon.

A friend told me his SE said the VES rebate is not confirmed yet hence they price it as if it’s VES neutral. But SE was silent if Komoco would discount $10k if VES rebate was confirmed.

Did Your SE confirm Avante was $10k VES rebate?

My elantra is confirm hard touch plastic at the door panel arm rest. When i drive i notice it cos compare to my own car.

While I was checking out the new CN7 Avante, I took a look at the current Avante "S", both front and rear armrest on the door panels are soft touch ones.

The new CN7 front armrest on door panel is soft touch but rear is hard.

On the other note, the CN7 Avante looks better in real and feels solid too. It feels expensively build and style especially the interior.
