myfoot2024 1st Gear August 27, 2024 Share August 27, 2024 (edited) CN7 gurus, Any recommendation for a tyre shop / workshop that is super good with CN7 for upgrading the whole set of 16" rims + tyres and to the 17" one? Can PM me if it's allowed here. Edited August 27, 2024 by myfoot2024
thebestbees 2nd Gear August 27, 2024 Share August 27, 2024 @bschoo whatever these “ service centres “ recommended better to bring out to other trusted workshops to verify and check, those places always “ recommend “ things to chop carrots
myfoot2024 1st Gear August 28, 2024 Share August 28, 2024 (edited) Anyway folks, My budget is below $150 per tyre. CN7 here and with the stock factory 16" and I like quiet and less bumpy drive. I was thinking of upgrading to 17" for the same or better quiet and less bumpy drive. Any tyre to recommend? Again, quiet and less bumpy drive are the priority to me, not chiong drive as I don't drive very very fast and I keep at 80kmph max the most even on highways. The same, 205/55/16. I scrapped the idea of upgrading to 17". I want to renew the tyres before my next 6 months/mileage Komoco services on the 26th September. V552 should be ok because it is silent and comfort based.

Thank you for your quick and good advice. Cheers! Edited September 1, 2024 by myfoot2024

To find your tyre's production date, check the last four digits on the DOT code. The first two digits designate the week, and the last two digits show the year of production. So, for example, if the tyre date code is 4714, that means the tyre was manufactured in the 47th week of the year 2014.

myfoot2024 1st Gear September 2, 2024 Share September 2, 2024 (edited) Okay. YHI told me that their latest V553 will only be available in Singapore in late 2024 or early 2025. So. I'm going for the current V552 which is already good enough and at good price for the humble CN7. Checked with my workshop. The DOT for their V552 tyres are 2024. $480 inclusive of GST per set including balancing, normal new rubble valve (non tpms). 4 rims wash.
