It depends on the app.

I use 3rd party app to play music via wireless CarPlay.

Which apps do you use? And how do you deal with advancing from one folder to another automatically if that's the way you playback music?

On CarPlay is it easier? Still got to use playlists right? Can't play folder to folder right?

In the app, music is arranged in this manner.

Just play from this list directly.

If not, just create playlist.

So if you play the first album and after the last track, will it automatically jump to the next album in line?

Cos I tried VLC and it doesn't do that...

My files are in folders but are not tagged cos they're just ripped from my old CDs... eh so do folders and albums work the same way?

For me, it is either:

1. Playlist

2. Entire Song catalogue.

Bro one more question... do you have to load your playlist each time you power up your car? I presume your phone connects wirelessly to your head unit via Apple CarPlay? Does the head unit then just use the default music app to playback your music from the last played track of your playlist?

Head unit will continue from the last track played once connected.

The last track played could be via earpiece.
