Pep is a fraud.

I said this so many times. Pep wins the CL only when he has Messi play for him.

Same with Brendan Rogers he only wins when he has Suarez play for him.

I am also a fraud. If I had Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe and Neymar I also will win a few games.

But I won't win the CL.

Pep won with Barca not because of his"philosophy" but because he had Cesc Fàbregas, Andrés Iniesta, Lionel Messi, Eric Abidal, Dani Alves, Gerard Piqué, David Villa and Xavi.

In 2011 the 23-men shortlist for the FIFA Ballon d'Or include 8 of the above who are also his starting 11.

Having said that to be fair to Pep I am sure he will win the CL

if Man City went and bought Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, Neymar, VVD, TAA, Robbo, Koulibaly, Mane, Salah, Alisson, De Jong, DeLigt and Kante as he already has KDB and Mahrez.

And Jurgan Klopp as his assistant - he sure win the CL one.

I am sure they can find the money

they just have to cook the books again

to keep within FIFA fairplay rules.

And when they break it just need to get

the good lawyer they already have.

Any idiot can say Pep is a fraud.

Where is the tactical analysis?

The reason City lost is because

Pep's cautious and too defensive tactics.

He went for a more compact and solid formation

that took away all the attacking qualities of his side.

He started without his creative players like David Silva

and Mahrez so stifling the creativity and in the first half

City did not create enough chances and second half they went

behind and he put them on and it was too late.

During the second wold war the British and German navy went to battle.

Both side were afraid to lose all their ships so send into battle half the fleet.

Both lost ships but no side had a definitive victory.

In 1982 in the air battle between Israel and Syria the Israeli threw up every fighter plane they had all 90 F15 and F16 and the Syrians held back and only fought with 60 Mig 21 and 23 and the Israelis wiped them out.

3 to 2 attacking advantage with superior machines and superior tactics.

The Syrians fought Soviet style - ground controllers using radar directed the pilots on who to attack.

The Israelis jammed the radios so the Syrian pilots couldn't hear their ground commanders and Israeli pilots fight US style they let the pilots decide on air tactics themselves up in the air as the scenario is changing too fast for the ground controllers to keep up.

I always said Brendan Rodgers is a fraud.

When Leicester was winning every match and Leicester was second in the League

and looked guaranteed a CL spot I looked like a right idiot.

Then he kept losing every match and cannot even qualify for CL.

Form is temporary and class is permanent.

This just shows how good the scouting network of Bayern is. He is blessed with great pace and skill (for a full back). I can see him at the top for the next 10 years.

Actually, Barca scouts spotted him first, but overruled by management.

The beauty of BM is the team played for each other, it matters little who scores as long the ball is in the back of the net.

True. I particularly like to see their wing play. With Alphonso Davies and Kimmich at the wing-back, and Coman, Perisic, Gnabry on both flanks, they create a lot of chances and goals from the flanks, which Lewandoski and Mueller benefitted greatly. There are a few in that team that will not look out of place in a 100m sprint.

Leroy Sane has just joined them by the way! Their quality and strength in depth are massive.

Man United got k/o by the dangerous Sevilla 1-2 so now no EPL teams left in Europe unlike last season's clean sweep by Pool and Chelsea.

Tonite second S/F in UEL Inter Milan v Shaktar Donetsk and following 2 nites will be UCL S/F PSG v Leipzig and Bayern v Lyon.

i wake up 3 am to catch man c game.

pep is crazy with his tactics. its ucl . its a 1 game ko system. yet he push his def line up like nobody business.

the 2nd goal which they concede their centre back push to middle line, they dun have exactly the fastest centre back around, and he encourage his full back to go up even higher.

we can agrue that stering miss is killer. but such high def is alway going to make them concede goal. .

Now that man shitty kick out, another one kana kick out of europa would be the icing on the cake.

To be fair to man u. They were all over sevilla. Martial could have easily scored 3 on another day. I think they had almost 10 good chances. But the GK + luck just wasn't their day.
Then kana sucker punched by a good Sevilla attack and just lao hong from there.

Different from the man city game.

Pundits claim Pep think too much. They had problems with Lyon before as the French team 2 Forwards were very quick n so Pep didn't want the 2 to go up against the 2 City CBs so offered extra protection with a 3rd CB but it backfired as Walker is better at FB and anyway, City more used to flat back 4. Pep claim they practised the new formation in training.

If City played their normal game, I think they would hv easily overcome Lyon. Coaches live and die by their decisions. Pep would be called a genius if City went thru but with them losing, he is now called a dud. Fine margins at that level.

Inter Milan beat Shaktar 5-0 last night to set up a Spanish v Italian UEL final . Lukaku showed Man U what they were missing with 2 goals n so too the in demand Lautaro Martinez! It will be an interesting final vs Sevilla who are serial winners of this competition. Sevilla have a 100% record in UEL Finals (5 out of 5)

lyon game is set up to def, and counter with their fast attacker.

i think no matter what formation pep use, when they deploy such high line, they fall for lyon tactics.

even in this season epl,  i feel man c very vulnerable to such team. team that are prepare to def 80% of the time with all their players inside their own 1/2.

no matter how good your procession and passing is, its going to be damn hard to pass your way through 11 ppl in their 1/2.

and once u lose ball thats it

U got a point on Lyon sitting deep and yes even the best teams in the World will struggle against a well organised deep defence.

On playing with a high line, Bayern Munich is reputed as the team with the highest line of defence but they seem to be coping well. Modern football likes teams to press high to win the ball back quicker by putting the opponents under pressure and thus have a high line. Most of the tops teams use this tactic these days. Actually Bayern's 2 goals conceded against Barca was a result of the Catalans managing to penetrate their high line but it was also the reason that the Germans high press resulted in most of the 8 goals scored. So got pros and cons obviously.
