ismailmiller 1st Gear November 28, 2019 Share November 28, 2019 Hey Guys, Any thoughts on the new Dunlop LM705 tires? Tirepacs is selling them at 118.77 per tire for 205/55/R16 made in Japan. I think the price is quite reasonable. Looks like this tires will absorb bumps on the roads better 🙂 Tire Link: https://www.tyrepac.com/tyres/detail/44134 https://www.autoindustriya.com/auto-industry-news/dunlop-sp-sport-lm705-gets-some-inspiration-from-ninjas.html https://www.------.com/news/11996/silent-comfort-from-the-new-dunlop-sp-sport-lm-705 http://c-magazine.com/features/dunlop-sp-sport-le-mans-705-tire/ ↡ Advertisement

This is the successor for LM704. which is a very popular tyre amongs the compact sedan and hatchback. Try it and feedback to us about the performance! STiYaKuzA 3rd Gear December 5, 2019 Share December 5, 2019 Looking at the Dunlop Japan site the LM705 appears to have the same tread pattern as Le Mans V in Japan. VE303's header says premium comfort tyre and the LM705 says comfort tyre, so the VE303 should be top of the range! Not sure what they're targeting though since these 2 tyres are so similar.. I suppose the VE303 should have slightly better wet performance from the tread pattern 1

Kanji would be similar to mandarin so while I'm not familiar with the pronunciation can roughly make out the meaning. Those characters above are mostly katakana which is used for translating english words, so it's easier to make out what they mean once you read them out loud!

I suppose the VE303 should have slightly better wet performance from the tread pattern u see the lm705 , they call it the 'sport' LM 705. then they adv it as silent comfort. we are not going to have a tyre that is going to be extremely good in both end of comfort and performance. thats why i would say this is somewhere  between veuro and sportmaxx. my personal view its its not going to be any much quiet or comfort compare to previous 703 & 704

But good la give consumers more choice. I feel dunlop will do better if they spend the money developing LM705 to further refine the sportmaxx range, given that their current 050+ flagship still has room for improvement. Then there's also the sportmaxx rt2 which I'm also not sure where it sits in their product line....

CoffeeBreak 6th Gear September 23, 2020 Share September 23, 2020 Please take note LM705 has a traction B rating. Most tyres have A rating. Some even AA ratings where the grip are good on wet roads. For me A rating would be good enough.
