So I went my fav tyre shop changed another set of runflats.

Was P7 cint, now primacy 3.

See the photo of the screw that caused the damage, internal and external.

Its actually not a long screw, maybe 2cm, and its not the sharp type. Really heng that it went in at the thinner groove area.

The runflats paid for itself abit this morning. (tyre became flat while parked)

I don't have a spare tire.

For driving to malaysia, I need additional mileage backup in such non-catastrophic tyre damage, hence am going to get one of those sealant spray thing.

Morning drive kid to school felt steering heavier.

TPMS alarm came on.

Stopped within carpark and confirmed front left tyre flat.

Tyres are runflat, so can still run. Proceed to send kid to school, short journey.

Came back home and pumped up. There is leak but v slow.

Visual checked, and found the root cause, see photo. It is a screw, about 2cm long punched in. the tail end is not sharp but blunt type. So I must have ran over it at high speed somewhere yesterday.

Advice: If the leak is slow enough, you could still pump and straight away drive to tyre shop. I itchy hand go and unscrew it out. The leak is alot higher now. But since runflat, i will still drive to shop later today to change.

NEVER pull out the screw.

If front tyre, can buy those tyre repair kit to patch yourself and of course a tyre inflator. Save time and money. It’s really not that hard.

Sorry I meant if front tyre easier to do.

Just turn the wheel out and repair from there.

Rear more leychey, either have to do below the rear bumper or take out the rim. 🥴
