Mockngbrd Supersonic August 27, 2019 Share August 27, 2019 Recently I had the chance to travel to the UK for some "work", naturally, I had to extend my stay but unfortunately due to ticketing costs, could only extend it by one extra day. So with that extra day, i headed over for my first visit to London. Here's a writeup of where I went. https://garage36.wordpress.com/2019/08/28/a-day-in-london/ ↡ Advertisement

Neutrino Supercharged August 28, 2019 Share August 28, 2019 I suppose your view, which I liked btw, shows the difference in what people like to see in London depending on their age. Yes we visited the art galleries which were great but Harry Potter, no way. We liked Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London, a boat ride on the Thames down to the Cutty Sark and Greenwich. As you say a lot to see and take in.
Silver_blade Turbocharged August 28, 2019 Share August 28, 2019 Nice write up. I used to frequent Bow Wow fairly often when my family and I were living there. I see you have the Hamleys exclusive Playmobil Queen's Guard. 👍

mersaylee Hypersonic August 28, 2019 Share August 28, 2019 Didn’t like London...maybe it’s the 八字不合. A1* travelog with brilliant photos to match the neatly crafted writeup. However, no fish and chips or pork pie (afa Bojo is concerned) is incomplete...oh, their football and opera too.

I've tried many fish and chip shops in the UK. They are all much better than you can find in Australia. When we stayed in an AirbNb in West Brompton we tried this place: https://www.goodchippyaward.com/winner/2019/baileys-fish-chips-fulham/ And it's only a five minute bus ride to Stamford Bridge. Not that we are Chelsea supporters. And a sixteen minute bus ride to Craven Cottage. Edited August 28, 2019 by Neutrino

Can also try Golden Union off Oxford Street (near Soho) or Golden Chippy @ Greenwich Edited August 28, 2019 by Silver_blade

Mockngbrd Supersonic August 29, 2019 Author Share August 29, 2019 Tbh... UK, Aus, SG, the nicer ones mostly taste the same to me. I don't like the UK fat cut fries. Also no chilli sauce.
