And the use of "Chinese" is a deliberate attempt to confuse nationality with ethnicity and tradition. And said tradition involves more than just ethnic Chinese, let alone PRC Chinese. .

It's not difficult to imagine a coordinated campaign to hang flags one day when Singapore gets into disagreement with another country... not necessarily just China.
